I said they were dying and I'm pretty sure that I ended that sentence with a period.

(You get the joke? I said it, PERIOD! Ha-ha, funny.)

I can't believe that they have bought Symbian and they are now ditching it. (I assume they will only use Windows on smartphones.)

They were in real trouble until they made that deal with Microsoft. I guess both companies needed each other.

-- Edit --

And about dying, I don't think Nokia will be the number one since now Android is around.

windows 8 really......
shity thing.
Next Year they confirm windows 9 and then 10 and 11 and 12, 13, 14..... blah blah.
Microsoft, learn to program good and useable things!

Yeah all i can say is:
"Windows had an unexpected error"

Yes and all the others are deliberate^^

It looks cool but NO... not another Windows.....
too well that they never fail in their presentations.

But what could one expect from people who have check software by hackers
cheap (did I really say that?^^) but not qualitatively

or insert a service program like ReadyBoost. *laugh at*
yeah, make our PC's even slower than they already are!

Microsoft, it is the time to pull the finger out of the ass or sell your ball mouses! XD
and apple too..... 500 € and more for this bad thing, called IPad/2.
but Commercial is cool.... *roll eyes*

Yes Windows suck so let's all switch to Linux and enjoy the many benefits it offers!

I can also give you the answers if you'd ask that question in forums ie ubuntu ones:
- "It's really your fault that your system runs HAL. No Linux should run HAL anymore."
- "It's all Ubuntu's fault. Try [insert Debian/Fedora/openSuSE/Mint/etc here], it will fix all your problems."
- "Clearly your fault. Try upgrading your kernel."
- "Try upgrading from LTS to normal version, it's really just the same in terms of stability."

The only reason why i hate all *unix machines is that they are just not meant for day-to-day use. I mean i tried nearly 20 distros and all of them have this nice finishes, nice GUI (KDE,Gnome) but damn sometimes simple things requires typing like crazy. The most frustrating thing in my experience was to set the individual rules in iptables, damn that took forever - on a windows machine i was up and running within a few minutes. I love *unix when i have to set it up one time and rely on its notorious stability, but using it as a main os is just a nightmare. There's a reason why Windows is the most used OS and its not because everyone that is using it is an idiot or a noob.

What I really hate are distros that try to automatize all the work for you. Linux simply does not work that way, and well, you typically end in brickshit because your distros maintainers decided to make some retarded change bricking your system usually twice a year when upgrading.

What I also love about Linux is that, everytime such a 1337 Linux kiddo comes along the way, they use Ubuntu. Ask them what kernel allocator they prefer SLAB or SLUB or even backported SLQB or what I/O sched they got; typically results in epic lulz. It's also interesting to see that every single of these kids has 'bluescreens' or 'unexpected errors' all the way on the Windows.

You should also checkout #ubuntu. Tell them how you tried Linux and didn't like it. There will be at least 5 people jumping at you telling you you're a moron for not being able to properly get Linux to work or how you're stupid because you can't remember the different parameters for whatever sysfs or /proc shit file entry which are mostly even entirely undocumented.

So yeah, at least 80-90% of all Linux users are kids who got no clue of what they're doing at all.
