first, hope its ok to ask this in off topic
i phoned microsoft but they were useless, and i mean useless

i was hoping someone might know how to help if they had this problem, i had win7 64bit and everything ran fine, i upgraded to win 8 64bit and my games looked washed out/faded in fullscreen but if i windowed my game (alt+enter)it had proper color, i also couldn't set games to 60hz (like in win 7), the max was 59hz even though my monitor and nvidia card show 60hz with res 1920 x 1080 (hdmi), it made no sense, iv tried calibrating color on monitor but didnt help, tried alot of nvidia drivers all did same issue, win 8 was fully updated ,atm iv gone back to win7

Hey, I can't be much of help as I have not (nor will be unless I'm forced to) to use W8..
As you had problems only in fullscreen, and that horrid "windows" is known to have problems with games, programs and drivers, I'm led to believe your problem
is due to incompatibilities and won't be easy to fix without fiddling into it..

May sound silly, but did you google it? did you tried to run them in safe mode or compatibility modes? (asumming w8 has it like w7)

Your best bet for now is to stick to what's proven working, w7 x64. You also may create a partition for w8 or even a virtual machine inside w7.
Just for the kicks :P

Cheers!

yeah i googled like there was no tomorrow, and tried safe mode and compatibilities, yeah was thinking about creating a partition for win 8, il just stick to win 7 then try win 8.1 to see if it works better, thanks anyway
