I am aware of the fact that most people here have no intentions of buying HL2 for one reason or another. That is not an issue to me

What is an issue to me is: Valve is getting pissy enough to BAN and eliminate perfectly legitimate accounts using excuses of piracy, fraud, and cheating.

Over and over again I hear accusations of Valve bans for no reason what so ever. I am beginning not to doubt the accusations due to the evidence of difficulty I have experienced useing a legitimate copy of Steam.

BAD ENOUGH: one way to get your LEGAL account banned is by having your ISP mask your IP. They consider the name being used on another IP as piracy lol
. This could happen to the total inncoent dumbass who bought HL2 and dont even know how to configure his DSL router

LEGAL NOTE: VALVE DOES NOT GIVE SPECIFIC REASON TO WHY THEY CHOOSE TO BAN YOU!!! that sounds like an unlawful action to me. If my account gets banned they should have no problem explaining why!!! As a paying customer who is suddenly dumped with a useless product they better have a fucking reason and better tell what it is.

Valve has even gone as far as attempting to eliminate CHEATS (info @ http://halflife2.filefront.com/news/VAL ... work;14815). Not that I cheat but it just shows how hellbent Valve is becoming. :?

My overall suggestion: most of us are against Valve and their sorry ass support and antice but in the meantime INNOCENT paying customers are suffering the wrath of this fucked up, money hungery company for no logical reason.

Is there any laws that would disable Valve from banning accounts due to SUSPICTION or atleast a law that would constitute Valve having to refurbish banned accounts????

Does anyone with a legitimate account have the balls to speak against Valve and their illogical antics? If not, it will always be like this.

BTW here is the links to a couple of posts I made or replied to on the official Steam forums concerning Piracy, and Unrightful Bans:

another legal issue Valve takes upon them selves that may also be unrightful:

accounts get disabled not individual games. so all the games on that account will be disabled.

roflmfao

another dicision Valve made was:

to ban any accounts that are registered to 1 (one) IP

in English: If you bopught Condition Zero a long time ago and had an account for it (we'll call it "Account 1") and then recently you got HL2 and made a new account for it ("Account B") Valve will disable them both!

They will trash your accounts because you chose to keep the old and the new seperate!

Now thats worse than piracy lol :P

valve are a bunch of little bitches.
They disabled my legitimate account because my other accounts had piracy. Surely that can't be legal. They can't even prove they were my accounts, just the same IP.

You can always sue VALVe if they disable your account without any reason. VALVe will have to proof that fraudulent use was committed on that account or accounts . . .
