Hi guys Im new to this site. Ive been looking at the programs available. IMO the best seems to be steam-down. However, Ive always worried that you could get caught downloading all this, especially since your downloading straight from steam and you dont know what kind of information is being sent to valve. Are my fears just plain stupid  ?

nothing to worry about you and another million people are doing the same thing do you realy think they will start chasing 1 by 1 and sueing them?? they would loos more money on loyers

this has been asked and answered 100 times...you take your chances, as with anything...but it is a very slim chance u can get sued...worse comes to worse, they could ban you account, ip, or try to contact your internet provider |

its a fact: until now there was not a case of somebody being sued for downloading something, not even in the usa... only people providing downloads (mp3's, films, cracked games) have been sued so far. and i take a guess that noone will ever sue someone for downloading something... for two reasons: 1. since the 70's and the music copies or old pc-games copies on tapes noone got sued 2. considering the law in all countries i know about one copy from the original is allowed. this means that if someone wants to sue you for downloading something, HE must prove that the source of your download was not an original copy of that particular thing. it's not gonna happen. so download as much as you want of anything you want, just dont share 1.000 songs on emule...
