thanks steam client loads now, "play games" list is empty though (no games at all, not even locked ones) looks like we have to wait for hcupa, fiddling around with the steam dlls wont work this time i think edit: my bad, working fine. just noticed i had moved my gcfs somewhere else, duh... |

Yes it works and it's still the simpliest way to play steam games (unless you want an ugly skin  ).

Sure, you can join cracked servers. But if you already have emporio why would you change ? 2. Just pick the file on first post. Steamemu is for playing with packed version. |

Ok so i feel dumb.. So i have 2 seperate folders Steam> steam-down> steam> loads nothings and has nothing in it. Steam-down. > loads up cs:source and other source stuff i put the steamemu into the folder of steam. the one that has nothing in it. Is the reason that it does not load is because the gcf files are in the steam-down folder? <note> I did not click on STeAM.exe i clicked on STEAMCLIENT.exe <end-note> so right after i enter my password to login to the menu. it says "FATAL ERROR:failed to load platform modules" if you could explain what am doing wrong.. please let me know... side-note > did not try puting the steamclient and other files into steamdown, because i did not want to corrupt my source gcf files if something were to go wrong. |

Redracer, I don't know if this will help, but replace "Steam.dll" with the one that you get with SteamEmu again. |
