SASIO, I have a problem with HL1 games. when I execute anyone of them appears the following message of error:

Error al iniciar la aplicación no se encontró vstdib.dll. La reinstalación de la aplicación puede solucionar el problema.

I have installed the last version of steambuster and updated all gcfs.

please help me.

Joll i know that people wait but i dont have this error and i have no idea why its apear.

NOTE!: Remeber to install SteamBuster you must have administrator rights.

Well with this new version all HL1 Engine games works fine. But Day Of Defeat doesn't work.
When im trying to create a server the game just crash with no error message at all.
Any fix?

i tested all games and run one map for each game and they work well. DODS work too.

Thanks a lot SASIO! I managed to get Half Life 2 to work without any problems. My save games copied over worked fine too.

Though I played garry's mod 9.04 and the sounds were all messed up and there were 2d planes of grass floating about waist height off the floor, I also noticed a problem; when spawning the combine NPC's they would always appear stuck half way in the ground, and completely unable to move even though NPC's like barney, refugee etc. work fine. I also noticed that when I shot the Ant Guard with a machine gun it died in one shot.

I have no idea why these problems have occurred but I am taking a look myself for ways of fixing it; I copied the mod directly over from my Steam account folder so I'll see if that has caused this problem, and I've tried deleting the cache (I think) I deleted everything in the folder:

HL2Engine\SourceMods\gmod9\mods\-modcache

If that’s the right one?

For those who are having PLATFORM.GCF missing errors just copy and paste "winui.gcf" into the same folder and rename the new one to platform.gcf and it will work fine.

Just re-installed Steambuster 4 and a brand new garry's mod but I still had the same problems.

SASIO, I try it 6 computers. all given the same problem.

Nice, it works with the newest GCFs, even Gmod9 works!
I got the HLEXTRACT error, too but then I found this http://cs.rin.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31035
Now it works without problems.

dont know what is going on with HLEXTRACT but when you installed librarys then something is worng with HLEXTRACT
hmmm... i must check configurations and recomplie it.

After installing the librarys it worked for me.

Without librarys - SP2 works.
sp1 - nope even with limraries. it requires msvcp80.dll msvcr80.dll.
