Best working Steamrip for me was SteamRip2012
After that some games crash when connecting.
Today i tried 2.23, because i wasnt able to join servers with 2012.
2.23 dont crashs the games i tested (CS:S DOD:S) but im stilöl not able to connect servers.
They all say "steam Validation Recected" when i start hl2.exe with a game launcher
And when i start them direct from SteamRip, the Servers tell: "You version differs from the server"
I think VALVE did something now to keep us out of the Servers.
Cuesteam is not able to start since today too.
Maybe they only updated the gcf files, then new files will fix it.


Edit : The steam Authentification Servers are Back online.
Thats the reason why we cant join the servers.
And maybe some gcf files are updated too, or why i sometimes get different Version error?

Yeah .. valve fucked us all ... I was using FuckSteamRip ... quite the same as SteamRip but it can dwnld the games too (not to gcf's but to the files) ... and today after updating dod:s through it i tried to play on legit srvrs (worked as good as it worked with SteamRip) and get 'steam validation error' ... Pls ... make some prg like SteamRip so all we can play on legit srvrs ..

I luv how all the crackers spend all their time workign on secret projects whcih anahilate steam, allowing peoiple to play their games without purchasing a "Half-Life Unit." How do these crackers get their games out to the public? By putting it all the way into the public. Hasn't someone ever thought that the Steam people can aquire your cracked files also? All they have to do is download the program, then figure out how it exploits. If you want to create the ultimate cracking utility for steam, create it secretly, then don't release it to the public. Send it out wihtout putting it out to the public. If Steam can't get their hands on it, they can't stop it. How will they know how it works? How will they know what it does? How will they know if it even exists? Find a way to get the utility out to gamers like us, but keep it out of the hands of Valve and keep it from leaking. Its hard, but it can be done. Find a way; have anyone who wants the file to personally email you for the file. Something like that. Lets stop this foolishness of creating a "nuclear bomb" and just giving it to the "Japanese." Thats ignorant. The crackers have the intelligence to create such applications, yet they seem to lack the simple understanding that if anyone can access this site, so can v alve. Valve probably is crawling all over this site like ants on a chocolate donut. If the admin looked at all the ips that access this site, i'm sure valves would pop up numerous times. So lets stop this arrogance, and really stop valve. Don't let all the programs leak ot the public. Let it thrive in secrecy....

OU ... what a great idea ... I can't breathe ... omg ... I wish there were more clever people like u ... Now tell me how do u spread "ULTIMATE steam fucker" into the nonsteam gamers comunity without letting the bad boys from vlave to touch it ? ... sry but I think some things are simply impossible :cry: It's true that if vlave couldn't touch theese cracks, they won't be able to release new updates against 'em. But ... u can NOT hide something on the INTERNET :!:

I was looking forward to some good CSS as well! :evil:

I can't update it either, because I tried to start CueSteam, but it did some sort of update from Steam and now it won't even open.

I don't know if there's a fix or later version of CueSteam, but to be honest I'm starting to get a little fed up. I don't want Steam to win but, honestly, I might just go buy the game. :shock:

lol. well you know what i meant. theres problems to with legal steam. but at least you dont hafta update/crack/wait every 3days.
