I'm struggling with the same problem. I usually just run cracked steam to play gmod but it hasn't worked lately.

I've got many *.cgf fliles from an other crack but when i want tu load
a game I get : "couln't extract some necessary files (...) from the gcf file, your game will not run probably. Probably because you are runing Steam or your gcf file is corrupt or not 100% updated"
I'm not running Steam so I need new *.gcf files but where I can get they???
please Help

Well i have a problem when i click on steamrip.exe it tells me runtime error 339 and that a file is missing what should i do???

Hello i get an error
(translated from dutch to english @ babelfish so bad english
hl2.exe Toepassingsfout
the instruction on 0x0doee66f refers to memory on 0x00000000. reads - or schrijfbewerking ("read") on the memory have failed
what can i do ? to get it worked ?

hello i have CSS working HF2 works perfect but when i join a server
i get this:
Server uses different class tables.
I have datarestriction so i cant download 1.2 gb (source models shared.cgf)
i have the original cgf from a friend (who bought it)
so that isnt corrupt
maybe some one knows it ?

i usually play counter strike on LAN !!
this is the first time i'm trying to play on servers but i've got a problem with the Steamrip, i don't know how to use it, it asks to choose the steamapps folder, and when i do a message comes saying " restart steamrip", then i have to choose the user directory path but i don't know what it is !!
can anyone help me ?

First when you enter steamrip..you will see a arrow on the right side of steamrip...click it and look for gcf something:
just find where your gcfs are like in C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\ or C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\wtf
restart steamrip choose double click on the game you have and your done!

Can somebody just make a config that the games work again.
And, add all working games to it. (I think most of you did this allready, please, can someone give it to me?
