Heapsize is the amount of ram that should be used by the game(s).. set it to half of you total memory.. if you have 1GB RAM, set it to 512000 or sth like that..

Hmm.. It won't work.. :S Freezes when half-done loading.. Tried to use the client.dll and some other dll posted in here, and the revolution source engine pacth.. But I can't get it to work.. But this is how you get it on the list:

Add:

[hl2.exe_episodic]
directory=episodic
name=Half-Life 2 Episode One
gcf=episode 1 shared.gcf
GCF00=source sounds.gcf
GCF01=source materials.gcf
GCF02=source models.gcf
GCF03=source engine.gcf
GCF04=episode 1 shared.gcf
GCF05=half-life 2 episode one.gcf

to the file launcher.ini

find the place saying [Launcher]... Change it out with:

[Launcher]

gcfgames=HL2.EXE_HL2,HL2.EXE_HL2,HL2.EXE_HL2MP,hl2.exe_lostcoast,hl2.exe_episodic,HL2.EXE_CSTRIKE,HL2.EXE_HL1,HL2.EXE_HL1MP,HL2.EXE_DOD,hl.exe_valve,hl.exe_cstrike,hl.exe_czero,hl.exe_czeror,hl.exe_dod,hl.exe_tfc,hl.exe_dmc,hl.exe_ricochet,hl.exe_blueshift,hl.exe_gearbox,hl.exe_bshift,darwinia.exe_darwinia,cg.exe_codename gordon,Rag_Doll_Kung_Fu_Steam.exe_rag doll kung fu

I think this not work because hl2 ep1 use base source engine2 instead of source engine....

But this one is not compatible with the actual steam.dll (emu 3.02 by hpcua...) give with steam rip....

And we not need half-life 2 content (when you only instal episode on this one is not installed...)

Oops.. :oops: I missed that I also copied Half-Life 2 content.. I tried with base source engine 2, but didn't work, because of the steam.dll like you say..

Me i tried with steam dll modified by cintx (place it on read only for steamrip not replace them) but don't work anymore

nop... all known versions of hCUPa`s steam emulator wont work with ep1 (2.01 - 3.02b)
btw problem is not new engine - CS:source work fine with steamemu
I think valve added some crap to client.dll/server.dll to prevent using steamemu-based launchers

I think valve added some crap to client.dll/server.dll to prevent using steamemu-based launchers


But in have you modified the .ini for css use the new base source engine. If not your css use the old source engine.gcf.

for me css and hl2:dm work fine but use the old engine.

And we need to modifie steamapp.ini???? but i don't know if it's used because for me HL DM source work fine with no modified steamapp.ini

Yes.. But episode one still uses another server and client dll.. Like in provisions release.. I believe it's from provision's release, the dlls posted in here..

on my system,steamrip crash,cpu usage 100%,why?

You must read the sticky, after you do what the say in (about error with some prog), if don't work ask again with more detail.

And please edit your message and remove your image, it's useless....
