Hey, is there any way that I can have CSN servers show up in steam?
Oh yeah, and, is there any way that I can change CSN so that it connects to a different masterserver that is closer to the US, where I live?

Well, I included another program I wrote, so that when you launch a game it will show up in steam. I dont know if thats not working for you or what-not, but whatever, generate a favorites list and put it in the correct spot (rename it to serverbrowser.vdf, and put it in your platform/config folder).
Also, the CSN masterserver is in the USA, so I dont know how to make it any closer  (BTW CSN is set to forcecache, so it doesnt even query my server)

CSN v6.41 is up, dont download if you just got 6.4, its not big or anything so it isnt really anything special. _________________

Hey, what is new in v6.41?
Anyway, I get 200+ ping in most servers, and I live in the USA.
Could you try to include some more US servers when you get to 6.5
?

I thought you meant the CSN masterserver.
I dont know how to find any us servers, I usually play at pczone for cs 1.6 and some east cost stuff for css.
In game browsing should work if you let localmasterserver access the internet, it should do all the work.

local masterserver doesn't seem to work for me. I tried it, and I did let it use the internet, but I only saw the normal VAC2 servers.

check your platform/config/masterserver.vdf and tell me what it says, also tell me what csn/main/localmasterserver.vdf has

Where do I get the platform\config\masterserver.vdf thing? Isn't that from extracted versions? I use the steam, adn that is what I want to get to work with Local Masterserver.
and, do you mean localmasterlist.vdf?

Hmm. Ive only got it to work with extracted version ( I never tried steam, I thought it was all but dead, now with hcupas new stuff...)
I dunno, I ll figure something out. In the mean time, just do the favorites thing I told you to do a few posts up _________________

Besides, your CSN is far from dead! It is great, and I think you deserve a big thank you.
I am at PaCmAn's forum (that should earn me a lot of flames) and using that CSN built in to steam would be soooo cool.

Most of the servers I try connecting to say I have an invalid CD key.
