I uninstalled steam buster.

Downloaded cuestream cracked update:
Cracked Update only (1.71 MB)

Copied the contents and pasted it in Valve/steam

Run steam.exe and got a rather long error:

cannot start steam engine, unable to locate host ......blabla

I tried it a few times and it worked, steam did launch nut didnt update a thing.

reinstalled steambuster, opened half life 2 (and source) but got the same eerror about the dam background

Im trying to update hl2 from steam but keeps hanging when reaches 50%.

Hoe can I run hl2 with cuestream?

It's at 50%?? That means it's NOT updated. That can take hours to update. What's your internet connection?

SBv3 tell you that those files are missing :
source materials.gcf = base source shared materials.gcf
source models.gcf = base source shared models.gcf
source sounds.gcf = base source shared sounds.gcf
source engine.gcf = base source shared.gcf

you propably extract HL2 form cd (CAB) not install HL2.



check your all GCF that they have this same names as above (not your names "base... etc.")

than run CueSteam again

And you dont need to uninstall SBv3 it nothing to do with your Steam client and running Valve games with other program.

Ok, finally I got the game working. WHooohoooo thanks you guysss!!

But one problem left: Whenever I startup my computer I get on error saying steam engine blablabla cannot start. How can I uninstall steam without uninstalling half life 2, or How can I make steam not starting up with my windows

move the steamapps folder to another location, uninstall steam, Then re-install HL2 with SteamBuster.

And what about Rag Doll Kung Fu support?

i have problems with my computer and i cant add Rag Doll Kung Fu now. Yo must wait mayby a week when i buy new motherboard.

your steambuster works great. But he newest Update on DOD-Source
doesnt work with Steambuster. After the newest update steambuster cant start DOD-Source.
This error :
Eror Message may be misleading, because Counterstrike-Source is running well.

check your gcf files

Dod:s works fine
Protocol version 7
Exe version 1.0.0.1 (dod)
Exe build: 13:15:18 Oct 17 2005 (2536)

Okay, thanks, the path for the GCF-files was wrong for DOD-Source.
Must be a Installation issue : If you check copy files in DOD-Source the original path for the GCFs is stored. In Counterstrike-Source its o.k..

RDevil you have right. i forget to add this to DODS when my get new motherboard (with old i have problem) then upload new wesion.

In the screenshot it showed you had Garry's Mod. I can't get Garry's Mod to work. I get the standard windows error report. Hl2.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. I have half life 2 gcf's and can play it normally.

you also need HL2: Deathmatch for gmod to work
