Ok ... I've downloaded Half-Life 1, and now I've got the 'Platform.gcf'.
But now i have another problem ! I have the Lost Coast GCF at 100% but Steam Buster doesn't seem to recognize it. The Lost Coast Checkbox is unavailable.

Another strange thing I've noticed, is why after uncompressing Half-Life 2 (which is about 3gb) it only uses 270mb.[/code]

first:
loast coast isn´t supported by steambuster yet
second:
steambuster have only to uncompress a few MB (it takes the other files directly from the gcf file)

i have good news. New SteamBuster should be available in next week, then i should have new mainboard. I only add new games to it. Be patient.

when will you look for a solution about the problem with the mods?
(I have tested Sands of War, but it doesn´t work)

OK. Those who has problems with his mod must send me link with "gameinfo.txt" file becouse i dont have most of mods and i dont want to download them. This will be easyer for me. Thanx

here are the gameinfo.txt files:
dystopia (works correctly)
plan of attack (beta 3, old version; has some problems with menu; I have already said that)
crazy ball (textures and sounds missing)

sorry about sands of war, but I have already deleted it (perhaps you can download it, only 30MB; same problem as crazy ball: missing textures and sounds)

hupe you will manage this problem with the mods :wink:

Everyone that have problems with their mods or with Gmod (any version) download this new configurator (note that i compile it in my broken computer. If it not work tell me about that) Its not tested.

Hi everyone, I'm new here.. and I'm really excited what is possible.. I thought cracking Steam isn't so progressed yet..

The perfect solution for those LAN parties, where some have got Steam and some haven't, is your program. I'ts just great!

But.. ^^
I have some suggestions for your next release:

-you should remove those "setup aborting messages" at the configurator
-(my opinion) make the startmenu shortcuts this way:

-a desktop shortcut for the Updater would be nice
-translate it into german for my stupid friends^^ (or let sb translate, I would^^)


If you are willing to work on this things, take the time you need, don't rush!


--> And I have a problem: at LAN, hosts' Counter-Strike 1.6 simply crashes to desktop, no error, just closes game without a comment..
The GCFs are ok and up to date.. further, CS:S and HL2DM work fine.

Edit: Is there any Steam Client or Launcher that is compatible with normal Steam for local network games?
Or is it possible for a very future release of Steam Buster? Emulating Steam environment or sth like that..

at this time i not planing change anything in shortcuts
yes i may add shortcut for upadter and launcher on desktops. i think about it
i planing translations but not now.

about your problem i cant help you. you must try run halflife or other hl1engine game.sometimes i have same problem.

if you run server in steambuster game then steam can connect but i dont now how is with steam server and steambuster.

I think we tried that already.. hosting with steambuster and joining with steam.. and I think it didn't work.. there was still this "Steam Validation rejected" message..

Edit: Counter-Strike Source Error::

SteamGetEncryptedUserIDTicket failed (1)
reason-- SteamGetEncryptedUserIDTicket() failed with error 1: Unknown internal error occurred - AS command error

.. and 1.6 just the same error...

start normal[legit] steam server in offline mode, cut off internet access

I have tested the new configuration.exe, but it doesn´t work PROPERLY (it says it can´t find some .temp files). I CAN install mods, but it doesn´t creates any shortcuts (I don´t know if it´s the correct word) for the mods in the steambuster folder. But in the startmenu fo windows it creates shortcuts and I can see the mods in the HL2starter.
But I have the sam problems with playing the mods.

(I´ll wait for the next release of Steambuster :)
