Steam Buster extract gameinfo.txt to hl2dm directory. Try to reinstall HL2DM tell me if this still dont work. (it should)

Don't know why but i can't make the hl2 game to work, ir doesn't extract the necesary files including hl2.exe, the hl1 games are working fine, to make the hl2 based games to work, i had to copy all the files that create steamdown when i run the games into the busted directory, and then they all work.
Can you put the language selector inside the aplication cause after i install, the games are in english but when i run the language selector it detects spanish so i apply and they are ready, just to skip that step.

I forgot, i installed HL, HLBlueShift, DOD,CS and Dedicated Server from the HL1 and the only one that has a icon is blue shift, and the HL2 ones are HL2, HL2DM and Source dedicated server, only the last has the right icon. Maybe is something about my first problem.

yeah, i downloaded it today cause i was using steamdown to download HL2 and it took like a week

don't know why but after trying nonsteamdown, and deinstalling it, steambuster is working like a charm, and the games starts in my language, probbably a problem in my windows.

anyone knows which are the GCFs needed to have in a PC for a lan server of CSS and which needed for HL2DM, only for running a dedicated server.

ironhide check your GCF. They must be downloaded at 100%and not corrupted.

for SRCDS you need those GCFs:
source materials.gcf
source models.gcf
source sounds.gcf
platform.gcf
source dedicated server.gcf
source engine.gcf

+ for CSS:
counter-strike source shared.gcf
counter-strike source client.gcf

+ for HL2DM
half-life 2 deathmatch.gcf

Thanks, very appreciated, i think that bratkartoffel has the same problem that i had. Could it be possible that when installing nonsteamdown, some library dll was installed that made steambuster run so good? Cause before that i couldn't play anything cause the necesary files weren't extracted. And the icons were all messy and now everything is fine!

ironhide You must install Steam Buster without any kind of Steam app running in your computer, this point is very important, stop all steam programs and kill steamengine proccess. In another cases is necessary delete "Valve" path in windows registry, try delete it.

Alternati how you know I speak spanish?
Well, i don't know whats going on on that computer, nothing works, i tryed HL1 and doesn't work either, it says "could no load filesystem.dll . FileSystem crashed during construction" and there's nothing about steam or anything, never installed any game in that PC, yesterday i tryed updating directx to 9.0c but it's the same error, well, then installed steam-down, to check the GCF and it says 100%, and when i use Play game, HalfLife works, and Source DedServer also works, I thinks that it needs something that games install, i don't know something like .net or videocards drivers, that the steamemu should use and that PC doesn't have.

I've finally got around to trying a reinstall (with the steambuster_final_10.09.2005.exe and not the old version) and it works fine. Either it was something I did or a bug in the old version. Either way no woories as it works now.

Oh and one more thing. After choosing which directory to install to it says 'witch' instead of 'with'.
