This will attempt to patch your steam.dll
to unlock and play valve games on steam.
Extra Credit to cIntX for the added hex edit
This also drops a Steam.cfg in your folder !

this should work for a couple older versions
of steam and probably the next few new versions that come out ?
its gonna have the same problems updating as all other cracks.
(the you cant update the games problem)

so i would suggest finding someone that has the game you want
and getting them to start the gcf for you and then start the
partial download on your steam and it should update then.

Don't know about vac i dont play any valve games online in ages
i only tested the patch on launching / playing CSS (my gcf updated)

Note: dont ask me for gcfs.
id rather spend my efforts tackling the root of the problem.

does it work with legit servers? or is it the same patch you released on the 13th to fix the friend dll error???
