And after screwing around randomly replacing, reinstalling and messing around with the various files I somehow got it working. On the upside: It works! And the downside: I don't know what the hell I did!

I'm assuming it was the recent files I stuck into the <sbrev_dir>\Resources\Fixes folder, I'll have to test it out some more if I want to recreate it!

I'm just getting the same problem. I've got newest legal gcf-files from my steam-account. I tried to update files in <sbrev_dir>\Resources\Fixes, but I'm still getting an error ("Failed to get server encryption key"). When I'm running steam in background, I can play TF2 via SteamBuster. Crazy! Could you just upload the four dll-files for me, so that I can see if this is the problem?

Does anybody know wheter steam-buster works with hl2dm-pro?
i get "Unable to load authentication library.. Exiting" when im tryin to creat a server.

Yes, I just had that problem. You have to copy steamclient.dll from sdk base to hl2dmpro/bin folder, as far as I remember. Just use google, that's the way I found a solution.

I used google, though no steamclient.dll for me in the sdk base. I would really thank some more details, im stuck here. Thx in advance !

First I want to thank you about the great program you have made. But I have a few problems with it:
1. The sounds of the dialogs in Portal and Half-Life 2 Episode Two
2. This error occurs when I try to start Half-Life 2 Episode One:
episodic\gameinfo.txt is not a valid format.

Could you make another package containing the fixes of these problems? I hope it wouldn't be very hard or time consuming

1. try to add language gcf in "Properties" of specify game. Search for "GCF files" tab and click on "Add gcf file to use with game". find your language file ex. "half-life 2 episode two english.gcf". save all settings and run game this should work.
2. its known error and i rly dont know why it acour, try to extract that file manually using gcfexplorer or other gcf extracting tool.

Im having a weird problem here.... I cant hear the NPC's voices from portal and hl2:ep2, and they cant move their mouths either...
I know theres some npc talking cuz it appears on the subtitle but no voice comes...
When i open the games via steam, it works fine.

The gcf assigned to hl2ep2 now are: ep1 sh, ep2content, ep2maps, ep2mats, episodic2k7 sh, hl2ep2 english (added), source 2k7 bin, source 2k7 sh mats, source 2k7 sh sounds, source 2k7 sh models, source mats, source models, source sounds.

is something missing?

but error message " Video Device Error, Race 07 Will close."

So I remembered wrong Download "Source Dedicated Server", and copy steamclient.dll from "steam\steamapps\[YOURACCOUNTNAME]\source dedicated server\bin" to hl2dmpro\bin folder.

I had the same problem, and that was the way I solved it.


I still need the dll-files for my fixes-folder. I've tried everything, but TF2 is still not running ("Failed to get server encryption key"). Could someone please load them up for me?

i have same problem, last month sbrev was working, now when i run it, lips anim is gone and no dialog spoken, in steam it works. adding other gcfs doesnt help

GUYS, HELP!!! When i try to connect to steam CS 1.6 server via sbrev i get message: STEAM validation rejected. HELP plz!

p.s. where can i get up-to date dedicated server crack? help plz
