Howdie, i have a problem starting TF2 with revemu (and with UCL, but that's another post ). I use the GCF files from my legit tf2 version for a client i want to distribute at a lan. Extracted the following files with GCFExplorer and GCFScape source 2007 binaries.gcf source 2007 shared materials.gcf source 2007 shared models.gcf source 2007 shared sounds.gcf source materials.gcf source models.gcf source sounds.gcf team fortress 2 client content.gcf team fortress 2 content.gcf team fortress 2 materials.gcf with no errors and put the two dll in the bin folder and extracted the rev.ini file. Trying to start the game with "hl2.exe -steam -game tf -console" (i also tried without the -console) and after the advert video hl2.exe crashes. So like i asked in the UCL post.. am i missing a gcf file? CFToolbox stated that all files are 100% and validation does not show an error. Or do I have to do something more? Anybody have a clue? Oh, btw.. if i tried this standalone revemu version on the pc where my legit steam (and therefore legit tf2) is installed i can start the game fine. On another PC without a steam installation i get the hl2.exe crash.

If you was, the emulator would show that. dingso wrote: Oh, btw.. if i tried this standalone revemu version on the pc where my legit steam (and therefore legit tf2) is installed i can start the game fine. On another PC without a steam installation i get the hl2.exe crash. It works without an installed Steam version. The problem is rather that the runtimes on that other PC are different. Try to update the MSVC++ 2005 runtimes.

Thx for the help.. but it was the fault of the pc i tested it.
Did what you told me and it still didn't work. So i went to a friend and tested it there.. voila, it worked without a problem (after i installed .net and MSVC++ 2008 runtimes)
So I guess there is something wrong with my test-machine.. thx for your tipps.

The solution to this problem is to copy the folder of the game .. \ PacSteamT \ SteamApps \ "username" \half-life 2 to ... \ PacSteamT \ SteamApps \ SBReV \ in this way also copy your previous savegames, I did and I worked

You've shocked? well me to . Updated version of SBReV... final version. Ok lets get to the point, changes I have made (or which I remeber) comparing to previous version - Fixed shuting down PC while SBReV was running.
- Improved application speed, its about 2x faster at load. (really)
- Fixed applications installation since SteamEmu functions are bugy so i made my own code to handle that.
- Added ability to show multiple "Properties" dialogs for multiple applications from the list.
- Applications are now launched in thread so they will not affect SBReV interface.
- Added ability to launch multiple applications.
- Added ability to close SBReV while application(s) is/are running (its not recommanded).
- Redesigned "Settings" window.
- Removed some memory leaks that could decrease preformance.
- Fixed mouting lanugage cache files for games like HL2EP2 but You still need to add them manually
- Invalid Integer Value error in mod searching.
- Rare bug that coused main window not appear on desktop screen.
- Fixed some graphics problems
- Added basic compatibility with revEmu
- Vista support
And many more improvments, optimizations, increased stability etc. Have a nice day

Hi there, I just installed this latest release of SBReV but sadly I have some issues. I installed the retail version of the orange box that's been circulating on torrent sites. After I configured SBReV, my games appeared in the main window so I right clicked on them and chose Install application but it doesn't do anything, it still appears blacked out. I managed to install the minimum files using UCL and then the games appeared in the SBReV window and played a little through HL episode two, but again, I can't get the sound to work although I did add half life episode 2 english.gcf to be used with the game. The only version of sbrev that worked well at installing my games was "SBReV_1999_OrangeBox", although that one still had the dialogue problem... I really prefer using this application because I don't want to install framework so that i can use UCL... I think it's way slower than SBReV... so bottom line... this new version doesn't install my games and I can't get the dialogue to work... any suggestions?

Bug in settings, If i dont change If i uncheck "Use STEAM Directories Structure value", Steam Account value is disabled, and "Application Installation Directory" value enabled, thats ok, but if i close Settings, and open again, both Values are enabled and editable.. And also footpring isnt extracted, just created empty folder (tryed on HL2 Episode One)
