Either use just the emulator, or if you want a launcher talk a look to UCL, too. I like SBREV's interface/performance better but nowadays it just kinda screwes up.

I receive this error each time I start the Final:

Access violation at address 0040417A in module 'SBReV.exe'. Read of address 00000014.

Getting the same error, after copying a hl1 mod to the half-life directory (in my case: SvenCoop)
Perhaps SteamBuster doesn't like mods.

By the way: I can't play HL1! Same error like daan16 and also TF2 keeps crashing

I've got a problem with running HL1 based game since i've updated "half-life engine.gcf" to version 44. Steam Buster doesn't work with v. 48 of this file too.

I reacive error something like this:

Can't load SteamMatchmakingServers in Steam_api.dll

Any solution?

Heya, I'm trying to get Left For Dead working on a few computers for a LAN party I'm hosting on friday. I've bought the game and it runs fine on normal steam. But when i attempt to "Install Application" in Steam Buster Revolution, it does the process but doesn't add the game to my install list. I've used steam buster fine with other applications like CSS, but on L4D it keeps failing. is it something I'm doing wrong or is it not supported yet?

You need the cracked engine.dll for L4D, and you can play with steam "friends". Don't know if SBREV can correctly launch it, I'm using cracked steam (semisteam)

Hmm I asked myself the same question.
Don't really know of you can play it @ a LAN party because you need Steam Friends to join a game.
In Offline Mode you don't have one of course.
Only thing that comes to my mind would be something like e.g. Hamachi.
You have your own "ID" @ Hamachi, host a game and the others WOULD have to type "/connect <IP>".
Still, I have no idea if this is possible :S

I'm having the same problem, and I've switched out both engine.dll files.

EDIT: Nevermind, I fixed it by copying the Steam Buster files into the Steam folder.

Well, I tried steam buster maybe two months ago and there was a trojan in it. I'm surprised that no one give a **it.

the trojan name is xfire.exe ( of course fake) and it will reside in the c:\winodws folder . if you see strange behavior from your keyboard know that it's a gift from SASIO And this topic is a sticky

Man You are absolutly right and You know Yours most typed word? its "gay porn"... next time download applications from correct source. I dont know, You have to be special that only You noticed a keylogger, man You are smart, I must hide it better maybe hmmm, ill rename file to KEYLOOOOOOOOOGER!!!.exe users shouldnt notice it then... eh its funny .

funny enough trojan will install itself through menu of steam buster.

well I never coded a keylogger also why i should do that? i never did i never will include such a shit in my apps, as You noticed no one else had such a problem and i bet its not becouse they havent found it yet or whatever... anyway its would be stupid from my side to doing such a thing, Also You cant say that my app dont deserve an attention (love as You sad) since You are in this community since october 2008, dont You think its stupid for new user saying such a thing? Dont like my app dont use it, it have keylogger? report that but not after two months when i can do nothing... btw tell which version? becouse i have nearly all released version on hdd so gimmme some proof.

I deleted with anger the moment I realized that. Also at that moment I noticed some of the users saying SASiO will never put a trojan in his beloved app so I'm not the only one. I have no proof but if you are sure you have nothing to do with this. I apologize.

For me there no point man, im here for really long time, I have here my friends and ppl who I trust, i love the community and its not worth to doing such a BAD thing, anyway i never wanted to do bad things... (yea to valve either ) Im just asking which version have the trojan/keylogger becouse i can check my files. I mean i never puted anything to my app who knows maybe i have this trojan too? Thats why i need to find out if something is wrong. Long time ago i had a virus on my pc and uploaded sbrev with it, but as soon as i noticed that my pc is infected i deleted sbrev from rin and put information that file might be virused etc. Im sorry for things that happen/might happen to Your PC but thats not my fault really. For me is weird that if there was actually an trajon or whatever no one else told me about that, for me its immpossible that so much ppl havent noticed a problem etc.
