So if the language for a game is supported from valve then it is supported from SteamBuster I have to disagree : "supported by Steam" doesn't mean "supported by Steam-Buster" (at least for the time being; I'm positive SASIO will improve the supported stuff to 100% over the time -- after all, that's only an alpha, and yet its features and compatibility are already impressive). For example, and as explained by doxliy, steamemu.ini has to be updated in order to add support for more languages. In the case of HL:BS and OF, though, multilanguage-support should work. >>SoyPaZ2k5<< wrote: I am speaking of the Spanish language for opposing force and blue shift. in any case, I have the individual patches to pass them to the Spanish, which I need is a tool to create archives gcfs. somebody knows some tool to do this? By that, I take that you have standalone versions of OF and BS. You then won't be able to use them with Steam-Buster IINM. You'll need the GCFs, and AFAIK you can't convert your "patches" into GCFs; you have to either download the GCF via Steam, or find them somewhere else.

ok, we finish with the subject of the BS and the OF, I decompress the patches manually and ready, it can be that the multilanguage support of the SBRev is working correctly but I do not have gcfs or do not exist.
On the other hand it wanted to ask to him SASIO if the SBRev will have support for the games Red Orchestra and SiN Episodes 1 or when it has them.

I know how steamumu.ini works! And if you think that your knowledge about language support and SteamBuster ´s possibilities is bigger then mine, then you are a fool, but ok.....
For example:
If there are no language files for german or spanish Opposign Force then language support is not possible! Or do you think SASIO will record some speche-stuff for that?? Surely not!
Instead of you i know how SteamBuster is working ...

And when did I state the opposite? Hm, sorry seems to be me that is the fool! Missunderstood you posting..... Though you were right on one point; I just checked, and it appears that there is no spanish GCF neither for Opposing Force nor for Blue Shift (well, at least, the required files are not mentioned on Valve's list -- though this list is missing stuff, so there is a slight chance the voices exist). >>SoyPaZ2k5<< wrote: ok, we finish with the subject of the BS and the OF, I decompress the patches manually and ready, it can be that the multilanguage support of the SBRev is working correctly but I do not have gcfs or do not exist. Like I just told Sillium23 there is no spanish voice for the aforementioned games, at least with the Steam distributions. IMO your best bet would be to uncompress the GCFs of the games so that they could be played without Steam, and then to patch them but the result isn't guaranteed. You can also use the patches on the old (read : before the Steam era) standalone versions. Quote: On the other hand it wanted to ask to him SASIO if the SBRev will have support for the games Red Orchestra and SiN Episodes 1 or when it has them. Can't speak for SASIO, but I believe that Steam-Buster's goal is to mimic every feature of Steam (read : there are chances these games will be emulated as well ).
And now let's wait for SASIO to return from his (merited) holydays.

I've only meant that for full multilanguage support of _episode1_ there should be used language GCFs both of HL2 and HL2EP1

doxliy wrote: I've only meant that for full multilanguage support of _episode1_ there should be used language GCFs both of HL2 and HL2EP1 That means that in the current state, this is the only game that needs a Steam-Buster update; all the GCFs are correctly loaded for the remaining games? Great news.
