sorry, i probably over looked it... but can some1 please tell me the command for mounting GCFs manually? (e.g. the voice gcf for HL2 Epidode 2)

this is exactly what i tried already:

gcf=half-life 2 episode two english.gcf

but sadly, still no voices.

Edit: is it even possible?

You can make it stand alone using this thread:

Or you can use UCL that will simply extract the minimum content and launch the game.

i tryed this and it wont star i put all the files in my steam dir. and you the steam luncher but it starts to connect to my account and then i just shuts down :( plz help

True, the 3.83 attachment is down, however: http://cs.rin.ru/forum/download.php?id=6769 .
And you don't need an account cause this doesn't depends on Steam in any way. You'll get fully non-Steam games.

Hi,
I'm new to this forum, and I'm trying to understand one thing :
You say, in the first post :

But I have only GCF files. So how can I do to put the .dll where hl2.exe resides ? I have to extract all the GCFs ? There is no way to play without extracting the GCFs ?
