And for launching Shadowgrounds via the game folder, do you know why I can't launch it ? Is it an emu issue ?

Allways on the topic of localized content (you can name me localized man :D ), I tried to launch Sin 1 with my localized french gcf (by adding it in steamemu of course) but the game is allways in english. Maybe the same bug that with HL in the precedent emu.

I've had this twice:

You do not have a valid steam subscription for this application [Appid=XXXX]

I got it in Shadowgrounds but managed to get around it by using steamlauncher with the original GCF, running it (which failed because it didn't unpack everything to common, and then unpacking all of the files manually into common.

However I also get this with X2, and I don't have the GCF and SteamLauncher doesn't list it in the steam list of games :cry:

That is wrong path in the Registry!

Shadowgrounds is an NCF game for me. And emu checks if contents of your common/game/ directory really match NCF file you have. If they dont - IsAppSubscribed says that you dont have this app (to avoid showing everything in client). I will probably remove this restriction if emu is launched standalone in next version.

What are your language settings in registry? GCF mounting code is same, so if precedence works for hl2 it should for other games as well.

For Sin French all is OK now. I deleted sin 1 content folder, started it again and it is in french 8)

About Shadowgrounds launched with standalone steamemu : do you think current launch error is due to the emu restriction about IsAppSubscribed ?
The best would be that we could launch ncf games (which are completely extracted games) with 2 ways : via steamlauncher and ncf files (normal and localized ones) and in standalone mode directly with the game executable.

PS : I tested Red Orchestra with emu in standalone mode and it launches fine, without "you are not subscribed" error. From my tests only Shadowgrounds has this issue (I didn't test other ncf games than these 2).

I want play in Half-Life2:DeathMatch (offline-without nobody, just testing) and when loading any map, appear error (log in my previous post), probably its not emulator, because earlier no this problem.
Same error - Connection failed after 4 retries. occur ONLY with Official Steam Client :D , but your emulator work fine :)

PS
HL2DM work fine with SteamEmu-3.54 and AppId=320 when i have this Old set of file in SteamApps folder:
source engine.gcf
source models.gcf
source materials.gcf
source sounds.gcf
half-life 2 content.gcf
half-life 2 deathmatch.gcf


And also work fine for this New GCF file in SteamApps:
base source engine 2.gcf
source models.gcf
source materials.gcf
source sounds.gcf
half-life 2 deathmatch.gcf


How emulator detect right composition using the same AppId???

Great work on the updated emu dude :)

I've found a small bug in respect to games that use a batch file for launching. e.g. Iron Warriors.
Your Emu assumes that all games will be launched from a binary (exe) which is not always the case.
Documentation (pdf) launched from the client suffers the same glitch.

To prove this indeed is what is happening in the case of Iron Warriors, I edited the blob file at the reference to 'start.bat'
to 'bin\core' (the main console binary) and added the extra parameters: i_startmode:startmode, bin, -p:cache\movies.ca
into the launch options within the steam client and then the game runs fine. No big probs, but I thought I would mention it just in case you had overlooked the possibility of games not always using a binary to start them up.
