You managed to forcibly export the certificate with the private key?

Never seen that before.
---

Since Valve said that a single ghost image with a cert can be used on the cafe computers, my previous statement that each cert issued is different, should be wrong, unless the Valve server changes the cert/reissues it upon logging into the Cafe system.

If I'm understanding the disassembly correctly, the certifcate file itself is encrypted using CryptEncrypt()..

Although, I'm not entirely sure on this.

Anybody know more about the method to actually extract this key? I'm not too excited about the fact that if indeed I do extract the private key, I won't be able to do anything with it, as I have a number of ideas ;-).

Extract which key?
There's little chance you actually extract key, as testing with MaddoxX shown yesterday.
If you are able to try though, go with updated version, it mimics cacdll behaviour more closer and thus has higher chance to actually work.

P.S. On a side note, remote debugging of extraction problems is a real pain. If someone has an access to real Valve certificate, drop me a message.

If you export it with CCE it will tell you so. But I was talking about certificate that is installed via steampowered site.

hCUPa, you never Seized to Amaze ME... :D

I just feel bad that I lately seems to come to the forum after you already release something, and I just wants to be the first to post congratulating you about your release and on the first Page :P

P.S. have you guys noticed that Steampowered Forums already upgraded thier forums to somehow look like our forums here? ROFL

and another P.S. just check this post "sticky" on steampowered.com forums about moving to certificate, to see much very useful information.

Moving to certificates

Thanks hCUPa for the time you take in order to provide us some solutions... many thanks indeed :)

Best Regards buddy..

Peace... Out..

Somebody on the steam forum was saying you can export the image as a .cer? Am i close lol?

Anyway, if i took this into an ecafe and ran it from a flash drive it would export the output.bin onto the same folder?

Then i simply give you this certificate?... then what do you do with it?
Do i get a credit lol?

ooo the questions. Thanks for this btw.

If you use Ghost or similar you can install a single certificate onto your ghost image just like any other PC, and reuse that image across your entire cafe.

Means, just one cert for one cafe.

Yes, you can export any certificate but not any private key. That's why hCUPa made this "Cert dumper" or something like that. I don't understand how..

The program does what it needs to do on its own. It will export a certificate on an Cafe computer directly too him(hCUPa), it doesn't crack steam or anything we just need a certificate so we can start cracking it.
