21st november Steam.dll patch doesn't seem to work anymore with fresh Steam installations since about 11th Dec. Right ? Any new patches in the works ? |

The server busy thing is very annoying, but yet... IT CAN'T BE FIXED. Hold on... and if we could make a "cracked" version of the servers? I don't think it's a good idea, but maybe it serves. |

The "server busy" error usually appears when you got an outdated "*client.gcf" file (in my case counter-strike source client.gcf). Copying the new one in it's place will fix that error and let your game update (at least it worked for me; I play CS:S). But that only works if you already have Steam patched before the Steam client itself last updated. If you're trying to install Steam from scratch today you will not get any games listed even if you have the new *client.gcf and 21st november patch executed. I'm guessing cIntX needs to make new patch.

Solved the poroblem. Turns out I was missing "steam.cfg" file in my fresh Steam installation so Steam updated itself upon start and the Games tab was empty. This file seems to prevent Steam from updating and all games are now shown in the Games tab.

This is the first cracked steam that actually works out of about 10 I've tried, I'm now downloading DoD and CS with no problem, thank you very much. |

Where do you get this "client.gcf" file because this is the only game I am having problems downloading. Thanks for any help and thank to cIntX for the patch!! |
