I was given full permission by ResR to create this thread.

Many of us have given up hope for ever seeing fully downloadable games along with VAC2 playability. The day has finally came, a Cafe alternative.

Installation:
Download these two programs.
Authenticator
CAClauncher

1.) Place CAClauncher.exe into your steam folder
2.) Run "ImNotCertifiable.exe", enter your name or w/e you want then click "Authenticate".
3.) Run "CAClauncher.exe" and start playing!

Needed Programs:
.Net Framework 2.0
Cacdll Only needed if you get an error.

Questions:

Q: Why doesn't this need Steam for cafes to be installed?
A: We have bundled the application with cacdll.dll.

Q: Does it work on Windows Vista?
A: Yes.

Q: Does it work with VAC2?
A: Yes.

Q: Can you get VAC2 banned?
A: No, you cannot.

So where do I find cacdll.dll?
I have .net 2.0 and 3 but it errors out saying:
"Steam.exe (main exxeption): Unable to load library cacdll.dll"

Thanks

Edit: nvm, found it on freesteam.

Thanks for the rel :D

Well, people say it works and others it doesn't.

The program is extremely simple, please check to make sure you have .Net Framework 2.0 installed. You can also repair it or reinstall it.

Please try that and post back.

If it still doesn't work, launch Steam with the CAC parameters once to ensure that all needed files are there:

-clientconfig cac -clientapp cacdll.dll

3FaST, are you sure your pc is stable? Seems like you over clocked it and anything will set it off.

Well, it's pretty stable (No OC, old CPU though). I'm running Win2k3 and reboot it once in 1-2 weeks due to some configuration, so I guess that's stable.

P.S. Is there any other way to send IP? Like maybe add a command line parameter for IP so someone else could run it for me or something...

P.S.S. Got any IM? I think this would go faster if you do.
