I can't help but think that obvious things get overlooked around here. There are clearly good coders who worked for freesteam, there are clearly good coders here. The problem appears to be that everyone wants to be a hero - the soul saviour - The main man. And that is where we all fail, this whole community. Page after page of arguing when we can all be so much more constructive. Valve use the tactic of divide and conquer, you only need a bit of foresight to see through this, yet most people's vision only extends to the end of their noses. When will you lot get it? There's the scope and potential to fight back here. At the moment, there's the motivation from disgruntled coders to do it, yet you all focus on the unnecessary and trivial. Look how many half-finished launchers there are, all of them have good points, and all of them have bad. Look how many *REAL* solutions there are to run steam content off-line, and look at what they *ALL* rely on. You are clinging on by your fingernails, and you still find time to kick each other before you fall. God, this is depressing
