I've already tried it. Both crash the server.
And I don't know what you mean about the checks being client side. Wouldn't the server not have to be patched then? I really don't know anything about the whole server cracks.

if you can play with steam , you can do it with steamemu too .
i never looked about cracked steam joinings-crashings , i ll do some 8]

Okay, the server works perfectly fine now with Rev crack. I can join using Undeadpatch. I still hope you or shmelle can get your cracks working for linux, because the benefits of unique steamids for everyone (or even cracked 666) are very good.

what's wrong with steam_0:0:0 for linux? Cuz that's what you get when using the rev patcher.

The rev patcher gives steam_id_pending for cracked clients.

version 1.2 gives steamid_0_0_0 or something alike afaik :S

Trust me, I don't like having many members there. I delete inactive members every now and then. Registering is just for, you know, legal stuff. *disclaimer and all*
