hey i downloaded quake 3 arena and it loads up fine and everything, but when i try to play it tells me to put in my cd, what should i do

just tried it, and it still ask me to put my cd in, does it matter if its standalone or not

I can't help you with this one sorry, i'm not the uploader but yes it's strange error for a standalone^^ I will check the files and report if he is working or not.
(If not i will reupload the game  )
Edit:
Ok i think the following fix is working.
Download and extract the files in your Quake3 directory then run "Q3ALL.exe"
This will remove the CD-Rom Check.
Q3CDcheckFix.rar

And plz tell me if the fix work.

yeah this is a excelent post, also anymore games gonna be added for im downloading prey right now
ok so im down downloading prey and everything but its in a foreign language, how do i fix that to make it english

Just delete \prey\base\preyconfig.cfg then launch the game

Thanks for Portal! Since my steam broke I'm desperate.
edit:
Portal doesn't work 
I open the exe, and it does nothing. In my processes, nothing either.
(which means that I don't see "Portal.exe" or "steam.exe") _________________ you want it. you need it. DON'T LIE. I know I want Episode Three

This should work Okay, I'll try it as soon as I return to my PC (posting from Wii)

to be exact the languages available are:
english, french, german, russian, danish, finnish, italian, japanese, corean, norvegian, polish, portugese, chinese, spanish, swedish
