The game is working fine for me.
Have you read the Readme.txt?
Have you apply the latest update?

Hey, I created a TF2 standalone from scratch by extracting the required GCFs and using RevEmu. There are, however, superfluous files. Would it be possible to get a log or list of these files (and preferably in which directories they are located within the root TF2 directory) that are required to play on standalone LAN servers? A list of the unneeded files would be fine as well, or a simple 'dir' dump should suffice.
Thank you

Many, many thanks for releasing HL² Episode 2
Sadly, I have another problem: Half-Life Deathmatch Source doesn't start. I get the error "MountAppFilesystem() failed: You don't have all the GCFs needed to play this game." Starting it by "-steam -game hl2mp" doesn't work, either, though it doesn't throw the error above (Picture in attachment. Hope you know what error it is, even though it's in german)

Sorry but i can't really help you with this.
neo226
Download the following file then extract the archive in your "Half-Life Deathmatch source" folder. Replace the previous files then launch the game using "Half-Life_DeathMatch.exe"
http://hexcsl.com/upload/stats/1138
Enjoy
Team Fortress II update
I have added a little executable with a nice icon to the Team Fortress II comprehensive update, this file will allow you to launch the game directly (no more launch parameters needed)
If you have already apply the comprehensive update you can download the attached file. (extract the archive in your team fortress II folder)
Otherwise check this thread for the full update.
Half-Life 2 Episode Two
I made the same thing for EP2, download the update and extract the archive in your game folder then launch "Half-Life 2 Episode Two.exe" to play the game.

Could you maybe point me in the direction I might find a list of the necessary/required files (Not GCFs, but the extracted concent) for TF2 please?
Thanx

No, like i said before sorry but i can't help you with this. You need to find yourself wich files can be deleted or not because there is no list of the required files.

How can I create a dedicated server for this TF2 version?

I don't know this version exactly but if there's no srcds.exe inside the archive then dedicated server isn't included.
