Cr@ck It I sent you a Pm but maybe you did not get it. I am still having this error trying to extract the winrar files for your Half Life 2 Collection. The error is as follows. Please help. :(

Winrar 3.71
! F:\Half Life 2 Collection\4.1vloc3lh01.rar: The required volume is absent
! F:\Half Life 2 Collection\4.1vloc2lh01.rar: CRC failed in the encrypted file Half-Life 2 Collection v1.4\Data3.zip (wrong password ?)

I have tried re downloading the files from rapidshare again and I still get this same error.

You told me before to just let it open, but it will not. it comes up with that error. Please check the upload to see if it is damaged.

I really do want to Thank You for your hard work and sharing of this game. I hate Steam as I had bought the retail version of the Orange box and I do not intend to have my new Super Computer on the net. That Steam crapp sucks. :evil:

The latest version of Gmod is using the source 2007 engine. It will not work with the old base source engine 2. So I won't release it for the Half-Life 2 Collection, but maybe for the Black Box


So youre saying that the gmod there is 2007? the newest?

he wrote that gmod now uses the orange-engine [2007] instead of base2 one ; in total there are 3 : oldest for hl2 , base2 for hl2ep1 css hl2mp hl1mp ..most mods , orange-engine for hl2ep2 tf2 and some mods like gmod .

Some other users also experienced this problem... and I have no idea why this is happening...

But a guy found a solution: You have chose the files manually. You should select the 1vloc2hl02.rar when 4.1vloc3lh01.rar is required. After selecting it you have to use 1vloc2hl03.rar, then 1vloc2hl04.rar and so on.

I think this can occur if you don't open the first volume to extract, but I'm not sure.

Thanks Buddy! I will give that a try and I will post if it works. I Love your Black box files they worked ok. Just stuck on the half life 2 collection. Is there any way that I can send you a donation for your efforts? CR@Ck IT You are awsome! Thanks for your help!

Not with this engine... the latest GMod uses the source 2007 engine. Maybe I'll release it for the black box...

I would wait till Valve updates dods, css, hl2dm to src 2007 engine and then update Black Box, also then it wouldn't be Black Box anymore.

the first time I try to launch it it said failed to start steam engine then it launch the game anyway when I type 'version' into the console :
1.0.0.20 (cstrike)
Exe bild Oct 15 2007

And when I try to join a game :
Votre version n'est pas compatible avec les serveurs.
Redemarrez le jeu.

Your version does not math the servers.
Please restart the game.
