I removed your posts fiocco. Don't do that again. If it's your browser's fault, nevermind :)

Edit: Damn, it's because of that error again.

Edited 1st post. Currently I'm reuploading v1.2 of the collection to rapidshare. It will need 14,4 hours to upload the complete collection...

Another question for the Half-Life 1 Collection: Does anyone know where the CD-Key of Counter-Strike / Half-Life is stored? Years ago it was stored in the registry (HKLM\Software\valve\half-life), but I just couldn't find it... or is it completly stored in steam now?

What do guys think about an Half-Life 1 Collection (including counter-strike, day of defeat, deathmatch, ricochet, Half-Life Blue Shift, Opposing Force, Team Fortress Classic)?
Till now I packed all the files and it has only a size of 898 MB ;).

Sounds sweet :) everything you've done is KING!

Hello,

Would you be able to provide me with the individual cracked Steam files?
The reason I ask is because I own a legitimate copy of HL2+DM+CSS but when playing with friends, I prefer to use the non-Steam version. They would also have to get Steam to play with me. It just makes life that much easier for us.
I can download the latest GCFs and extract the contents solely for HL2DM at any point in time, but cannot do anything with those extracted files unless I have up-to-date cracked Steam .DLLs.

Would you be so kind as to assist me?

Thanks,
Jeremy

A good solution for you would be to look at the content list announcement, section 3, to check out the launchers. You can play with your mates by giving them the GCFs, while still using Steam yourself.. at least I think so.. and if not, just get a launcher as well. It's easier than always extracting everything.

@ jeremyofmany
You could just have a look at the tutorials section, where I have posted a tutorial on how to rip Steam games. That should help you to create your own ripped Games.

But you want your own games ripped: What kind of Games? If you own Day of Defeat Source, Counter-Strike Source, Half-Life 2 Deathmatch and you want to play these with your friends, you can simply download this collection. These are the latest versions and there is no difference between you gcf files and mine.

And if you just want to play with your friends without downloading any other stuff, I would recommend you just like RessourectoR said to use a launcher (UCL e. g.) to launch directly the gcf files. This is much easier then always creating your riped games!

*edit: ETA for v1.2: 6,5 hours...

*edit2: Finally added v1.2 of the Half-Life 2 Collection on first page...

*edit3: I just recently added 2 german language Addons (for hl2 and episode one)

Hi CR@CK-iT,

I need some help with your hl2 collection.

When I run HL2, it gets to loading the main menu and then this error message comes up

Any idea whats wrong and how I can fix it?

Hmmm... looks strange that error, nobody seems to have this problem too.

What did you want to start? Do you use version 1.0 or 1.2? Did you have a look at other programs running, maby your virusscanner is blocking something or another process is using to much memory!?

What are your system specs?

Did the collection work at least once or did / do you always receive this error?

Hi Cr@ck-it,

I am always receiving this error, I am running XP media Centre, Core2uo 2gz, 2gb RAM, Intel 950GMA.

I'm using version 1.2. HL2 doesn't seem to work.

Really need help

================================

CR@CK-iT, please can you help me with my problem?

I would help you, if I could...

Maby you should try the following:
1. Right click on your half-life 2 collection folder and deselect the "read only" function.
2. Install the latest drivers (sound, graphic card, chipset drivers).
3. Install the latest Microsoft patches (service packs, directx!).

Oh, another important question: What kind of graphic card do you have? Do you use the onboard graphic card?
If so the card might not be effecient enough to run the games.
Did you try any other games?
And what did you try to run: Half-Life 2 Single player? Day of Defeat Source? Counter-Strike Source or what?

Or the worst solution: Maby a clean reinstallment of your system !could! help...
Or its an internal error of Half-Life 2, which isn't optimized for Media Center.

still does the same problem, I have an Intel 950GMA Onboard graphics chip, I have tried other games aswell and no problem.

Does anybody know what else could be wrong? has anybody else had a problem running HL2 with media center?

What games did you try?
And what graphic chip do you exactly have on your board?

Normally all graphic on board cards are just too weak to run games like Half-Life 2. So which games did you try?
