eks1 Well this should not happen if you applied the fix, could you please check if the reg value was created? If I remember right it should be HKLM\Software\Activision\Call of Duty 4 "codkey" |

PeJpepiG Yes i did create reg key. Even tried to restart steam. Didnt work. As far as i know the problem is with binary data. ( When i used key-fix for Stalker i didnt work but when i used unlock code (setup-bp.exe ) it generated THE SAME CODE BUT DIFFERENT BINARY DATA. I change the value to cd key AND IT WORK). |

eks1 This is bit strange as the fix is working for me and Steam afaik just checks if the reg value exists. I probably changed something in the version and that's why it isn't working for you. I'll test it later. |

PeJpepiG Some more info: i can launch cod4 with no problems (stand-alone). Its clearly that its a steam bug or smt. By the way i use Undead steam. |

PeJpepiG AFAIK in my experience NONE of the keys work. Bioshock failed too. Just checked it 5 mins ago. |

getting Failed to contact key server with kane and lynch. For some reason the all in one fix didnt do the job. I checked the registry and the entry was there. Still getting the error. Maybe im doing something wrong? Although, im not sure how i can go wrong with a simple exe. Anyone care to help? BTW runnin windows xp, no virus control, undead patch 3.33  oh and it didnt work with bioshock for me either. ended up just runnin it stand alone. XLspread load for anyone? |

demonik You can still get the cod4 but as stand-alone. Just launch .exe file. If you have cd-key problem download razor keygen. |

eks1 Yes, news for you: Tested it on Windows Server 2008 x64 and Windows XP x64, and it is exactly WORKING like it should. I could not test CoD4 as my copy of CoD4 is not up-to-date. So I tested CoD and Doom 3, these two are starting after applying the fix. As the ceck works the same way for all games, ALL games should work just fine. Please verify you did everything correct and please tell me which OS you use. And be sure your game is 100% completed (up-to-date), use CFToolbox to verify this. |

demonik It shouldn't. As long as the reg entries are created corretly it should work. You can easily verify this by looking at the registry yourself. Edit: Could you please run the attached fix for Kane & Lynch and send me the generated log.txt? |
