Why don't you open YOUR yes, this file was just updated a few hours ago. The current downloads i can see are ver 18 which is OLD.

hello I am new here. Ive been reading and trying not to bother anyone with any pointless questions. Unfortunately I got a problem that I dont think I saw solved for HL2 episode 2. I got the cracked steam installed after I had installed the orange box already. My problem is this. I wanted the cracked steam to open the games instead of me going to a bunch of different icons, so what I did was copy the files over. The Gcf under steamapps and the folders themselves under common.

Now I open up steam and surprisingly HL2 one, HL2 episode one, start with no issue at all. but with HL2 episode 2 and portal they will not. I keep getting steam servers are too busy to handle your request. I downloaded CF toolbox as per se RessourectoR comments earlier. the file is validated, but it still wont start from the cracked steam. any suggestions u guys might have?

If that is for me I put it in the steammapps folder and restarted steam, but that didnt work it still says server busy to handle. thanx for the help though.

This isn't the right place for your problem. Anyway go into your game's Properties in CF Toolbox and check that you have all needed files and that they are at 100%.

Try doing a correct on all files.

MY fault where is the correct place I wasn't sure where that is, oh also when i do that under the games/media/tools tab i do a correct and when its done it says 99% so i must be missing something i think

If something isn't at 100% do a correct on it, and then make an archive with CF Toolbox and post it in the update thread.

Not sure if it's the right thread, but here goes. I need the original ep2 server.dll, client.dll to solve the missin models problem. Could someone please upload them? or tell me where to look for them? couldn't find them myself..

Hello, I am having trouble finding Half-life 2 source sounds.gcf

Mirror 1 doesn't work and the "8 mirrors" link doesn't take me there aswell and I am also having trouble with downloading from "mirror 2" links.

Anyone knows where else could I download Half-life 2 source sounds.gcf ?

The 8 mirrors by playordie seem to be working here. Doesn't the link-protection page load for you ?

When I click the 8 mirrors link, a German page opens and there are files, when I click to download, all I get is advertisements.
