I have Half Life 2 downloaded and today I downloaded Half Life 2 : Episode One. When I run episode one it crashes and says "Half Life 2 is required to run mods". I did some searching on this and I couldn't find any answer and really clueless as to why it happens so if any of you help I would really appreciate it. Only thing that worth mentioning regarding the problem I guess is that I'm running win7 64bit. Other than that I just can't figure out what's wrong. |

it's much easier to just download either the steam ati offer or the nvidia one than having to download a crapflood of parts just to get the god damn base files |

You don't even have to download the NVidia/ATI promo files (HL2DM, HL2LC), as soon as you redeemed the offer you can download HL2 with CFToolbox or cracked Steam. |

I have a doubt,the hl2 ep2, must have all the GCF of 100% to run it? So you do not leave the lineup: "The steam servers are busy right now". |

Yes you need all the files 100% valid and updated for the game to run on cracked Steam.  But with the Spanish sounds in your steamapps folder,I don't know,never tried that
