also it would be nice to see support for Finnish language, thats also on steam :)

There is an entry in the FAQ about adding additional steam language support. GCFPrep should be able to fully support any steam language as long as its configuration files are kept up to date.

Thanks man. That work is awsome great!!! ::D

i made a German language file for the GCFPrep, but when i want to launch the GCFPrep after configure it shows me an error and a window appears "sending error report" -.-

Thanks for the support! I'll check the file later and let you know what the problem is...

*EDIT*
It's the xml encoding that's the problem, if I load your file into something like dreamweaver and save it with the correct encoding then it works fine.

However, I have noticed that some of the newer language strings aren't getting updated, so I need to fix that for the next release!

Wow, I haven't check this for a while and now I see GCFPrep 1.6... A further step closer to perfection for semplicity and usability  !
I see you have added many things I've asked before (together with the community): thanks Mitsukarina!

There are still some little features I would like to see:
- the line "Loading" is still in english with the italian version of HL:EP2 using REVEmu (still the better emulator for source 2007 games I assume), with steamemu the line is translated
- I know very few about NCF-based games (never got one, but the future steam releases seems interesting  ); would it be technically possible to create "NCFPrep" (ora plugin for GCFPrep) so we can prepare and launch a NCF game automatically?
Sorry if this already exists or if I have said something stupid ;;)

How exactly do I create the .LST files for streamlining a full extraction?

@Mitsukarina - gcfprep always crashes when extracting minimal footprint files for Zombie Panic Source but the game gcf is ok and validated.

I can extract minimum footprint files for Zombie Panic Source without any problems here using GCFPrep 1.6.
Does GCFPrep give you any error message? If so could you please post it here?

That error message doesn't help me much what your probleem could be, but Mitsukarina knows it.

COuld you still try these two things:
Update GCFPrep's ClientRegistry.blob (Can be donne in Advanced options)
Use GCFPrep dircetly without CFToolbox.

I think I've found a few bugs in GCFPrep :S

First of all, the Half-Life High Defenition gcf is NOT extracted
Half Life 2 episode 2 english & portal englist are aslo ignored
finally, the top-level files (text files, etc) in the tf folder (when extracting TF2) are always garbled

What do you mean NOT extracted? is this when you're doing the Minimum Footprint or a full extract? as those GCFs are not extracted at all as part of the Footprint files, just mounted when the game loads.

The TF2 problem is due to the GCF > 2 GB. The attached GCFPrep.dll file will fix GCFPreps extraction of the files. You will, however need to wait for the next release candidate of revEmu with GCF>2GB support, before you can play it; but I have already sent the fixed code on to shmelle for inclusion.

I may release a newer GCFPrep when revEmu is fully fixed up and I get some free time :P

@Mitsukarina -just a minor bug. in the target path of shortcut launcher there is double space between exe path and game parameter eg

..\counter-strike\hl.exe[doublespace]-steam -game cstrike -appid 10

happen on all shortcuts created by gcfprep
