Thanks for the support and suggestions guys, version 1.7 is currently in release candidate state with some trusted testers and should be a lot slicker and have some new and highly useful features.

btw, I have a suggestion for GCFPrep to make it even better... :D
It would be great that GCFPrep to use a system like UCL uses for UCLPacks...
You just add the zip files into the pack folder and when you extract a game with GCFPrep so it would extract those too after game extraction is done...

Absolutely! Been in from the start ;)

Look at any of the pack files downloadable from the first post - a lot of them are UCL packs setup to work in GCFPrep.

GCFPrep\Configuration\Configuration readme.txt tells you all about them. ::P

But GCFPrep shows only this 38 games:

2. Does GCFPrep can start all GCF-Files?
3. Does GCFPrep can start all NFC-Files?
4. Does GCFPrep can start all Common-Folders(some Games come without a NFC-File)?

Detect Half-Live-Mods & Detect Source-Mods is activated. What can i try to fix my problem?

What do you mean NOT extracted? is this when you're doing the Minimum Footprint or a full extract? as those GCFs are not extracted at all as part of the Footprint files, just mounted when the game loads.

The TF2 problem is due to the GCF > 2 GB. The attached GCFPrep.dll file will fix GCFPreps extraction of the files. You will, however need to wait for the next release candidate of revEmu with GCF>2GB support, before you can play it; but I have already sent the fixed code on to shmelle for inclusion.

I may release a newer GCFPrep when revEmu is fully fixed up and I get some free time :P

For all the above problems, I was using the full extract. And has that attached dll been included in GCFPrep 1.7? I'm downloading 1.7 now

EDIT: Nevermind, read the readme, saw that the dll is included

As now GCFPrep uses RevEmu 9.5 and server browser is not working at the moment, you can use RevEmu 9.3 RC5 for games outside GoldSource games (Steamworks update).

Just extract this into GCFPrep\Emulator, and in GCFPrep choose RevEmu 9.3 by REVOLUTiON in the emulator drop box and extract the minimum footprint or full extraction.

Here's how I got Team Fortress 2 with the newest update from 11.12.2008 and the server browser (SETTI list) working:

1) Update your TF2 GCFs with CFToolbox
2) Prepare TF2 with GCFPrep 1.7
3) Replace steamclient.dll in the dir 'team fortress 2 -> 'bin' with steamclient.dll from rev-emu_9_4_RC7:

The method described by atrdarkstar didn't work for me, because GCFPrep crashed then.

Alright so im having a bit of an issue, I have tried everything. GCF doesn't load all of my games, it gets some but not all. The blob file is in the emulator folder and all, but still most of my games are missing. Anyone have any ideas?

I asked Shmelle to help me with a Source DS problem, and he told me to use this. When i first downloaded it I thought i would only waste Diskspace, cause i suck at using tools like this one, but after downloading your optional blob file (It said it was missing it when i first try'd to launch it) it worked, and i can finnaly launch my server thanks to Shmelle, and ofcourse, your tool!
