The good:
- all annoying checks are now gone
- you can host a server and everyone can join,no patches required
- will work for a long time, and even if valve changes something crucial (interfaces), it's easy to adapt
The bad: - Serverbrowser/favorites does not work, I need to write an implementation for it, all help is welcome (socket programmers and other c++ programmers, now it's your time to show your appreciation!)
- All clients get STEAM_ID_PENDING, no Steam IDs for now
The ugly: - This is the first beta version, or should I call it alpha, don't expect much
- It only works with source engine 2007, don't try to use it with CSS (yet)
- You need to use it with this "unofficial" steam.dll supplied here, or else steamclient.dll will not be loaded (PID fix)
To install: just extract this package to the root of your src2007 game. I have also included a steamemu addon build, so basically almost everyone can test. As always, rename hCUPa's steam.dll to hCUPa.dll, make sure it's in the root folder, and extract this package. Changes [0.23] - Fixed crash that was caused by playing on a server full of other players.
Changes [0.22] - Users can now choose their name through the INI file
Changes [0.21] : - Fixed crash which was caused by the end of round in TF2
Changes [0.2] : - Fixed crash when pressing TAB in-game

Lately TF2 and Gmod have problems in server browser for example. This can only be fixed now by emulating steamclient.dll, as it's almost impossible to patch the file manually after every update (and stupid btw)
So we need an emu for it, like SteamEmu is an emu for steam.dll
If I understood it correctly we won't need anymore cracked engine.dll

Oh yeah and forgot to ask, but will i be able to use this emu with revolution's emu? I mean the one with the addon for steamemu xD

Aaaah i knew it  I saw the size of the file
And wow achievments work man  no steam needet to work!
Server Browser opens without the error but no servers show up.
I make a server no errors and yes i get the same error to terminate hl2.exe when i press tab button...

Fixed I think no I have test the se Version and it crashed all the time. My game is GMOD !!

Send me your logs. They are in "bin" folder, called "rev-client.log".
It's normal that there are some bugs, that's why I posted it here so we can find them and fix them together. In the meantime, I found another bug. The game doesn't crash at the end of round anymore.
