This is great! It worked like a charm. I'll have a look at it for further testing.

BTW.: Why isn't the rev.ini included? And can I use the original steam.dll located in the bin dir with the emulator this way: Steamdll=.\bin\steam.dll?

Of course, you can create rev.ini or just copy the existing one. However original steam.dll is not required as none of the source 2007 functions go through steam.dll. At least I don't think so. btw at least rename the original steam.dll if you hold it in BIN folder...

Okay, I have three other questions:

1. So why should I include the steam.dll in rev.ini?
2. Is it possible to include a masterserver.vdf again like in the former engine games?
3. I didn't test it yet: Does the game still crack when you try to report a but or add a server to the favorites? Enabling the last option is difficult, but it would be nice, if the game wouldn't crash if you accidently click use that option.

1. I don't know, you can try and test, that's why I posted this beta version.
2. No, src engine2007 doesn't work that way but I'll see what I can do if I get the required help here.
3. No crashes. If it crashes somewhere, send me the log and tell me how it crashed, and it will be fixed.

KeReMiD4O send me rev-client.log, it's in your BIN folder, I told you before.

Shmelle, I just got to tell you: Excellent ;)! This is the long awaited fix and with your error logging fixing becomes quite easier and better.

Ok now it works I have to refresh my bin folder and now I have a little Problem to give me a name!!! When I use the command name **** It dont works its wired. :roll: 8)

"name" command doesn't work in steam tf2 either. :p

However, as a workaround, I have added an option so you can change your name.

Add this to rev.ini:
[steamclient]
PlayerName=YourName

which should be in your root folder.

Кто может переведите пожалуйста на английский.
После 5 минут игры в Team Fortress 2 игра постоянно вылетает. (если потребуется могу выложить лог файл)
Поиск серваков у меня не работает ни на распакованной версии ни на GCF версии (независимо от эмуля), просто пишет "обновление списка серверов", но не одного сервера не находит. Кто может помочь/объяснить как исправить подскажите пожалуйста. (на лицензии все пашет отлично).

He asked to translate this to english:

After 5 minutes of playing TF2, it crashes (he can provide the log file, if you need it). Server search doesn't work in extracted nor in GCF mode
(with both emulators), it just shows "refreshing server list" message but doesn't find any. Someone please tell how to fix it.

My answer about servers: in the first post shmelle wrote that the server browser doesn't work. ;)

Sry for interrupting you guys, but I thought about a little improvement: If you run TF2 in extracted mode, you always have to delete the steam.dll in the bin folder, otherwise the game would crash right at startup (some kind of error message like: Steam isn't running).

Would it be possible to include some code into the emulator that prevents the game from loading the steam.dll in the bin folder and just use the emu steam.dll instead? Otherwise you always have to delete the steam.dll in the bin folder and you cannot place the emu steam.dll into the bin dir, because if you do so the "SteamBeta" error occurs again.

why do you keep steam.dll in BIN folder? I told you that's a mistake and you should at least rename it to originalsteam.dll or something.

Sorry, I can't write in Cyrillic well, but I think DahakaX64 understands english anyways. :)
