The correct thread would be in the Steam Content section , int he request updates thread, but anyway  http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/9/17/ ... update.rar http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/9/17/ ... update.rar Apply these with CF Toolbox. If it's still not 100% then do a "correct" on the gcfs and make new archives. |

Thank you so much Steaming_Noob!! However, I'm still facing problem connecting to steam. All my files are at 100% now. Validated and corrected. But problem is when I run steam. Under left 4 dead, they still show "downloading paused". Does anyone know why? I searched the thread, but I couldn't get any direct answer still. So sorry to trouble u guys so much. |

Heya! Thanks so much once again! I re-downloaded the files again and tada! Im able to launch it now! By the way, how do I host a game or join a cracked server? |

RevEmu is for people without cracked steam right? VUP too right? I thought cracked steam has a seperate cracked servers? I couldn't find them or connect to some which is listed elsewhere as cracked servers :S |

RevEmu is for ppl that don't want to use steam at all. VUP cracks the files. Use one solution from these. Look here instructions for the server list : viewtopic.php?t=43883 Also read the tutorials, I can't help you anymore, I rarely play online

I have updated L4D to 100% with CFT but every time i start cracked steam (undead or SMD) it doesn't show up as 100% but as yellow ('needs update'). If i check with CFT afterwards some files were altered and need to get corrected and redownloaded again. Undead cannot start 'yellow state' games but SMD can and i tested it for some minutes without problems. The question is.. does it get corrupted by starting cracked steam and i should better go for a non-steam solution or is ok to use it that way? Anyone able to get a valid 100% state in cracked steam? |

Yes, files are 100% until i start cracked steam. Its like valve tries to corrupt non-subscribed games this way to prevent cracks like undead (just a guess). Maybe it came with the latest steam client update. I don't know, i just started today with L4D. SMD crack does work and i will test rev-emu later. I'm just curious whats going on and if its working without errors. Maybe i can try to figure out the altered files somehow. I think i can see something with 'engine.dll' in CFT when i correct/download the NCF. |

That's not the problem. Updating with CFT works fine. I do have to correct the ncf before i can resume the download and i validate as well afterwards but once i start cracked steam it says 'update' and 'steam servers busy'. At this point 100% is gone. I can repeat this steps over and over again. It remains 100% in CFT until i start steam client. Its even especially mentioned in another thread to use SMD if 'server busy' error occurs with L4D. If someone is using the latest(!) steam client (04.02.) and has a 100% L4D there must be something wrong on my side but if its running this way on all systems i will not try to fix this any further. |

Well, then try with revemu. You may need the special left4dead.exe It's posted in several places. |

Guys ,my game is updated and i want to play with my friends on hamachi with steam. The problem is that we are getting this "String Table for downloadable should be rebuild 42 of 47 strings in dictionary" error and i red it's because my game isn't updated. Is there an updated cracked engine.dll or clent.dll for this error to go away? |
