this is a sea of shit guys.

1 steam always go to control if an account is original or is bogus
2 if the account is bogus u can't download steam games and updates from originals security Valve servers
3 this crap online just can work temporarly until when an other valve update will be released and then they will go to modify all the dynamics steam.dll and engine.dll etc etc and other files
4 put in your mind that steam is uncrackable. with a bogus account you ever will can get work a steam game like the original one

well bounlde man r u going to get flamed about 200 people have this downloaded and is playing works just fine and even if it updates you can still play on crack servers cracks servers will be out just like every other game out cod 5 cracked servers were out the first day and steam is crackable steam has always been crackable anything written can be cracked

awesome! it works! i used this guide with the engine.dll and it works fine on two computers i tested it with. works with a blank steam account on each computer with the engine.dll crack and any repack you find on the 'net.

and Arze, I didn't download the L4D files from here. i got another repack from somewhere else and it works, and used it with this guide. they have megaupload links at irfree (TL release).

gotta love this forum.

Well you can torrent the game content using the link in japes' thread...but it sucks, that the crack and the engine.dll links are dead. Can anyone re-up?

Make a backup copy of the original engine.dll (in the bin folder) and then overwrite it with the cracked.

Nice job! I've been trying the whole day to get this to work. Where'd you get that engine.dll from? I've been trying all sorts of different patches/methods for hours and they all bombed.

One more question, if anyone knows the answer. Would it be safe via this method to log in with our official Steam accounts (with real games registered to them), or should we just create new accounts to avoid any retaliation from Valve?
