Host dedicated internet server? No, get hlds and apply patches to let non-steam and illegal users join.

Hamachi would be VLAN (virtual local area network). You can host a server with this release and hamachi to let your friends join. That's no problem at all.

Hi, CR@CK-iT thanks for this great release, it helped me a lot on making my own standalone game. Can you please tell me what you used to make the installer for the 1.4 version? Il looks superb, i want to use it for makeing my own release's. And how did you made the left4dead.exe file. I understand how to use the Rev emulator, but i dont know how to make the exe. Thanks in advance.

I used the installer NSIS.
The left4dead.exe is created by shmelle (REV emu developer).

Thanks. So there's no way i can make my one exe's. Can you please send me the nsi file you used to create the installer, if you still have it, it is very hard to do my own installer since i never worked with NSIS, and there's a lot of code to be learned, i could use the file as a guide line. Sry, but I won't release my nsis script. It was also a lot of work for me and nobody helped me ;)! If you want a great release, you have to do some hard work on your own.

OK, at least can you help me?

Never mind, i taught it would be something hard, but in a few hours the installer was exactly the same and with a few improvements, i might say.

it would be good if you could rar all the 7zip files and seed it into a torrent. it wouldmake downloading a lot easier and faster

Well Cr@ck-IT replied to this annoying torrent-question at least ten times and had (and still has) some really good arguments why NOT to share these files over the torrent-network. It is up to the costumers sharing Cr@ck-IT`s releases over alternative networks and as many hosters as possible. If you do not agree with this statement then buy the games and download them with steam.

Man I just wana say your releases have made things so much easier! I was spending hours reading this board trying to learn how to get l4d to work though steam and could not get working. I dont mind using the console. I used dos for years so its quite easy to just type shit in and be done with it. Thanks again man for the great release and updates!
