"The man who knows all" was my first port of call, but sadly we both weren't sure how to do it without also hooking SteamProcessCall. He's still my hero though! :razz:

I want to try out passing back some suspended thread handles and see what happens, I had a few ideas whilst discussing it with RBPFC1 in the other thread. I think this will be useful stuff for all of us to know in the future, though I admit that it's overkill at this point in time for a memory patcher. ;)

well i know nothing about this type of coding (memory patching, patching DLL's, etc) so anything i can help you with just PM me.

P.S. the popcap complete collection, L4D, and HL1 engine Games Download fine on my old dell (512MB ram, 80GB HDD, 1.10 GHz Processor)

Ok I decided to release Alpha 0.2 for testing as it will probably be a while before I get around to ironing out some outstanding issues. Remeber, it's still an Alpha, so may be buggy.

0.2 Alpha is significantly different to 0.1, but does play more games.

Note:
    Click the + and - buttons to add / remove subscriptions, you can do multi-select for both.
    You can disable MFP extraction if you know your MFP is up to date to speed up app launching, MFP extraction needs optimising a bit more, but works fine.
    You will see a warning every time you launch a game that it is not available, just wait and it will load and play fine.

Note the new sections in the ini file for configuring extended patching on apps that require it (this is setup correctly for current games, but may need adding to in the future)

See first post for download, All feedback welcome.

Hi, sorry to be maybe a bit off-topic ...
i tried to make some subcsciption "patching" too, by creating my own subscriberAccountRecord during authentication.

i added some subscriptions, some subscriptions billing (tried prepurchased and credit card), the "subscribed" apps do appear in the list but steam keeps telling me "your purchase is still being processed" why i try to "install" the app ...

what do u need patch in the subscriptions to make it work ? :)

Well, you see that message if SteamIsSubscribed (and SteamIsAppSubscribed?) return a non zero result for their 3rd parameter, what are you getting there?

I've not looked into how this result is calculated.

ho ... i patch the subscriberAccountRecord :( not steam binaries :( so i don't know what it returns ... :?

just as feedback MiSteam doesn't work under Windows 7, even with full permissions (a.k.a. Run as Administrator)

Works fine for me with Windows 7 x64

Make sure you have: Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)

It is cracked steam, however unlike other solutions it allows you to pick which subscriptions you own. This means you have the following advantages:
    1) Steam loads significantly quicker than with other cracks
    2) You do not see an endless list of every game that steam has, just the ones you subscribed to.

It is still Alpha though, so may not work as well as solutions in the Main forum Release section.

MiSteam Alpha 0.3

0.2 was very buggy - probably a step back from 0.1! here's 0.3 that is significantly better:

Change list:

    Optimised MFP extraction
    Deprecated [ExtendedPatch] in MiSteam.ini - this feature is now automated and no longer programmable
    Fixed issues with games that set PATH EnvVar rather than using Steam EnvVars
    Fixed issues with games that require specific cache *version* mounts (e.g. blueshift)
    Fixed issues with SourceMods
    Improved memory management

Known Problems:

    Steam will warn you that the game is not currently available when launching, wait a sec and the game will still work fine!

MiSteam 0.3 is available for download on the first page.

Feedback welcome, if it proves useful for some I will fix outstanding issues and release final version some time in the future, otherwise I will probably keep for private releases only ;)

It always surprises me how elaborated "plain steam cracks" can still be. You guys always find something new that makes cracked Steam even faster, more comfortable or more dynamic. :THUMBS UP:

just a small problem that i notice now, when i try to start game (subscribed) it shows a warning (The game is currently unavailable. Please try again at another time), the game however starts fine, but it takes more time to load than 0.1/0.2

I do
1)copy musteam to steam folder
2)launch,choose subcription,press "launch"
3)Start steam.exe

... :?

Start misteam select subscription do not start steam.exe click in Misteam Start
