However, I can help you with your problem (more or less). I had the same message you had and you can resolve that simply by opening the rev.ini in TF2 directory and putting a # before the line that says:

Code: Select all | Line number On/Off | Expand/Contract
  1. SteamDll=.\Steam\Steam.dll
  2. It wil become
  3. #SteamDll=.\Steam\Steam.dll

I don't really know if that line is "vital" for playing but this will make the error disappear and the game will start. HOWEVER, you won't be able to join most of the servers. The client we are using is currently outdated (we are using 1.0.9.3) while the current TF2 version is 1.0.9.4. You will probably find some 1.0.9.3to1.9.0.4 patches on the internet (for example, the psy family's one) but they will probably mess your game up since the release is different. Give it a try at your own risk. If something goes wrong you will have to reinstall the game.

THE BOTTOM LINE: we got to wait until CR@CK-IT releases the new patch. Luckily I got to play Split Second and Blur atm! :ROFL:

first of all, i want to thank RaydenX, for your support. after putting a # before the line you mentioned, the game ran properly. but, as you mentioned that the version is outdated, none of the servers worked for me. have to wait for the update, i hope it will be released very soon.

I uninstalled the game and I just installed it again and applied the update 4.5.
It says to me :

I made a little mistake: Open rev.ini and go to the entry Steamdll=.\Steam\Steam.dll and change it to #Steamdll=.\Steam\Steam.dll .

Oh sorry I haven't seen the previous messages which speak about this problem.
In fact, I made this change yet, but the game crashed on a server so I believed there is another problem.
So it is a version problem.

[EDIT] : There really is another problem. I got a crash.

Maybe you should try the latest rev emu: http://rapidshare.com/files/396360299/revemu983.rar
Just extract the files into your TF2 folder and test it.

I have problems with binkw32.dll. I just instelled newest version 4.5 and it says _BinkSetMemory@8 cant find binkw32.dll or something like that...
Any advices, plz?

Yeah, its Orange box..
so I had download all 27 files from page 1 ??

EDIT: I downloaded file from here:
