MiCrew FTW! Thank you for fixing MiSteam. It's my favorite crack.
Kinda intersting how Valve added a region marker for a blob file. Why do that? So users can't share them or something?

I've not had time to review the data, though someone else has said it is regional data. This implimentation just loads the data into a dummy field for now - I'll define it correctly in a later release.

He's got it installed already. We checked that first. Maybe reinstalling will help.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but do the executables created by MiSteamPrep also require .net framework?

RessourectoR Not sure if the executables require .net framework. If they don't reuire .net framework executables still wouldn't work on other PCs as in most cases paths are different. You still can choose if you want MiSteamPrep to create executables, bat or shortcuts.

I can. I thought the exes would have relative paths. ok, I'll just use a bat then. That's the easiest while safest solution. Thanks.

That zbot pack in the first post - is that the newest version of the bots from czero?
-- Edit --
I've got another question about MiSteamPrep. Does it use .lst files to make sure that the created standalones are only as big as they need to be? CSS for example doesn't need everything from the HL2 GCFs it requires.

Sorry Res, I've not been very good at logging in lately... RessourectoR wrote: Sorry if this has been asked before, but do the executables created by MiSteamPrep also require .net framework? Yes, they do - It was reasoned that since people need it to run MiSteamPrep then this wouldn't be a problem and Da_Fileserver kindly wrote the code for me, but I guess since then MiSteamPrep is being used more and more as a potential "stand-alone creator". RessourectoR wrote: That zbot pack in the first post - is that the newest version of the bots from czero? I made it when UCL first started (maybe even UGL? ) and can't remember ever updating it. It was my hope that others who couldn't code would contribute to projects in other ways - such as creating and updating content packs, language files etc. So to answer your question - no it isn't RessourectoR wrote: I've got another question about MiSteamPrep. Yes it does, I think there is some information on it in the FAQ. If a LST file exists, MiSteamPrep will filter the content to only extract files that are in the LST file, otherwise it will extract the lot. This has only had basic testing and I'm not sure if anyone actually uses this or has created LST files for it. If you test anything and find bugs, then post here and I will get around to fixing it when I'm next about. Thanks (as usual) for your support.

Thanks for the answers, yea, I will test it tomorrow, but if I'm not sure, I will create my standalones for others - and yes, that is in fact what I intend to do with MiSteamPrep - using GCFs. Stuff might be bigger then, but also easier to update. Which brings me to another question, which might nto really belong here, but while I'm at it, I might just ask about this too: With GCF-based standalones, if I update the GCFs and a minimum footprint update is needed, would I ned to take care of that manually or does RevEmu check on that? I can't say for sure, but maybe a nice bot pack can be made with help from baosen. I'd assist with that then. Also, I'm going to use batch files to launch the standalones. I don't know how you think about it, but since Prep is being used as a "standalones-to-publish"-creator, maybe adding options for the executables to use relative paths and making them independent from net framework is something worth achieving.. last time I was at a LAN party, I intented to set everyone up with UCL, but that was unsuccessful because the net framework 3.5 setup required internet This time, I intend to make fool-proof standalones. Copy, Click & Play.
