does anyone knows how to assign a fixed steamID to non-steam player?
currently, im using dproto 0.4.7
cuz i noticed that if a player changed his ip, his steamID will be changed too

Host_Error: Bogus player index during customization parsing is one i'm getting a lot lately.

Don't really know why you all are getting such weird problems. I am on linux CentOS 5 and using 0.4.7 with default dproto.cfg that comes with dproto and everyone can join my server and it doesn't crash and no one gets kicked. Make sure to update your hlds with hldsupdatetool, also dont use autoupdate parameter in ur start up line. make sure you entered the line correctly into /metamod/plugins.ini Example: linux addons/dproto/dproto_i386.so

Personally I use a very old client I think its v28 and it works perfectly on my server. I hate the new v40 clients. If you want to use the old one use v28 and I can upload it for you guys if need be.

Oh yes you need there is an error svc_bad and host error you need it ...

0.4.7 include fix of svc_bad. So xds_opt not needed now. May be later, if xds_opt will be modified.

stop using lame old clients, which will be have always some problems.

Crock: i dont know really, why u make support for protocol 47, which got more problems and cheaters.

actually, i know crock said that xds opt is no longer needed but when i removed it i started getting the svc_bad errors again so i think it is still needed.

You should better to bug report this, rather than continue to use xds_opt.
