i can't play Serious Sam HD First encounter with smartsteam (i use latest version) i also tried the cracked exe ( viewtopic.php?f=22&t=54536 ) its not working too...

how i can play this game ?

@Anti-Steam, your idea cannot be implemented right now. I'm now busier with other things and don't have much time with steam.

Ok. Btw, L4D2 dedicated server does not launch a cracked server.

You have already done mode "installed only". What prevents you add to this list receive APPIDs from a file? Ok, please add APPID-subscribe mode when you have spare time.

Current SmartSteam does subscribe like this:
- If you enable FilterTestApps = 2, it will subscribe everything + your Real subscribed apps excluding all valve test apps, some still might appear.
- If you select FilterTestApps = 1, it only subscribe 1(Steam master) + your Real subscribed apps
- If you enable InstalledOnly, it will not subscribe everything, but only installed applications + your subscribed apps.
- You can see [Subscription] and [AppSubscription] where you can add/remove subscription you don't want.
- Real subscribed apps is always selected and you can disable it in [Subscription] or [AppSubscription]

So, if you want to do this,


... you only need to change FilterTestApps = 2, InstalledOnly = 1 and then you can add/remove subscription...

The problem with FilterTestApps = 2 is you will get some test apps appear and you need to enter password to perform some operation. You can help me by finding what subscription needs to be disable to remove password prompt. That's why I changed FilterTestApps from 2 to 1.

If you select FilterTestApps = 1, you cannot use InstalledOnly feature and you cannot remove app subscription, you can only add them.

Remember, you can always use name instead of appid in [Subscription] or [AppSubscription] for example

Your idea is always valuable , but its hard to make it .

The download archive is outdated, if you are planning to develop some plugin, use code on my first posts there.

Seriously, I have a very outdated serious sam.

Maybe this has something to do with crash report disabled... Try enable it and see if it improve. I don't think there is nothing much changed between 1.3.9 and 1.4.1

Didn't see your posts about this. did v1.3.9 launch cracked L4D2 dedicated server?

No. I'll test it with the new version for L4D1&2


EDIT : Everything is working fine. All the game launches, and the dedicated servers are all cracked. You can also add them directly on Setti and they are listed !!!

is the ceg patcher now working in memory (instead of patching the files physically) or not yet? 'cos last time the ceg patcher deleted my SamHD.exe..

Really? I don't think so, SmartSteam never delete your files.
I just searched for "DeleteFile" in SmartSteam code. There is none.

I think it's steam delete your .exe because it thought you have an invalid .exe and trying to redownload again.

In case when installedonly =1, I have many subscribed apps which not installed or testapp.
Installed only mode doesn't works in case when cyber cafe subsription disabled.

P.S. I can't to tweak smartsteam as I need:

i have a idea/request , I see achievements work so can you make them notify like for a normal steam user ? And is it normal that im getting STEAM valitation reject ?

Edit : also after i won one achievement after i restart game i have all unlocked ... i want to win them alone

Edit2: i have another idea/request . Can you make this enable chat with friends even if you dont own games ?
