syahmixp, the latest fix is not worling anymore for l4d and l4d2. when you start a lobby then start game it says STEAM REJECTED.

A free source game Insurgency (appid is 17700) and some other mods are not working, when smartpatch is enabled. It says, that HL2 required (even if I have HL2 subscribed, Subscription 36 = 1) or engine crash...

Also please add new variables to runbatch blugin:

• AppIsPurchased = 1 / 0
• SteamDir

And please develop a new plugin for load vityan's eST_SCI libraray. (Other info: current version 2.1 has working bad, but soon it will be fixed; After loading the library in the console game messages will appear from eSTEAMATiON).

Some of them work, but some do not. Do not work also some non-steam mods, that stored on steamapps\sourcemods folder (I can not to test this, it says other users).

ok. after you update smartsteam and l4d4 will be playable right?is it possible to block the update of steam?

If you block updating steam, there will be problems with the achievements and the server browser.
Next, we need to patch the engine function that checks the platform steam.

the test version 544 set cod mw2 in preload and deleted all english files

Many server administrators do not like the hacked client (becouse many cheaters) and therefore not allow connect. Can you add SteamID generate, so that the ID does not depend on the account? But this need not all games (only if appid is not subscribed real).

Is there a fix so i can add Friends?

Hello guys,


first of all i want to thank u for this project, helping us to get rid of steam!
But unfortenetly i have a steam account yet, with a lot of games and of course i do not want to get my steam-account banned.
Because of this i am a little bit affraid of using this hack. I would like to ask u some questions, hoping that u r willing to anser me ; )

About what i have understood about this hack 'smartsteam' i have to copy the hack-content into my steam folder and i must start it or the service right before i start the steam account.

1) What will happen if i would start steam, after i coppied the hack-content into the steam folder without launching smartsteam? will i get banned this way?

2) If 1) is Yes, what should i do to be able again to use my real steam account with my bought games, without getting banned? Do i have to uninstall smartsteam?

3) Can i use a vm where i install steam + smartsteam and beeing able to use them while i have steam on my real machine running?


Sorry for all these questions but i didnt find any answer to these yet. I am sure these or at least some of these were already answered but i hope u could respond me anyway : )

if you use your legit account. dont start smartsteam. and if you want to use smartsteam better make an account for that.
