The GCF's are exactly the same, The only thing that is different is that there is only one extra GCF for Mac clients which contains the Mac specific binaries/executable. Some ncf's may be Mac specific, but I think you should create a new thread for that in order to keep this one clean and on topic. It would be a mess to have many GCF/NCF in one single thread. |

I'm new to this steam cracking. Doesn't this crack work anymore? Because I've been using it, and I managed to download Portal, and I'm able to start downloading HL2 and another small game in the library. The biggest trouble I'm facing is to download CSS. I always get the server busy error, no matter what I do. Is it still beta? I was thinking if downloading the GCF would solve my problem. losefrag user has uploaded come GCF of CSS beta, but the version I see on steam seems to be the final version. Is it possible to download CSS for mac on a cracked windows steam, make a backup and import on mac or something? Thanks in advance |

Mod Edit: Links of repack removed. Repacking is NOT allowed around here. we need some more mac-steam-content-shares. direct downloads from steam are making problems . . . exception: TF2 worked but i could not connect to cracked servers. just a version problem i think. hope for some more native, standalone, non-steam releases from the doc. |

wtf, just post the patched binary. No need to post the whole steam app. -- Edit -- As I suspected, It's just a repack. The posted version of Steam still saves data in ~/Documents |

Yes I tested it. Check the client build date for his posted Steam, it is May 26. Steam006Mac client build date is also May 26. The current Steam client build date is July 7. Another way to tell is by seeing where it saves the Steam Content. H3XT0R's supposed crack still saves in /Users/(your username here)/Documents. The version of Steam after Steam006's latest crack saves in /Users/(your username here)/Library/Application Support/Steam. Will a mod please remove H3XT0R's fake crack? |
