Does the force offline mode mean that from a fresh offline Windows install, I can install steam and use this software to run steam and use my previously downloaded .gcf files without the computer ever going online?
If not, would a copy of a previous Steam install directory be able to be transferred to my offline computer and be made to work with this software?
If so, you have just made my day!

Thanks for all your support on this amazing project! Mind telling us what DLCs you added? -- Edit -- Bugs: - Steam commands still dont work! (Failed to start Steam Engine) - "Failed to start Steam Engine"-Error shows up in some occasions - Before v2.5.8, demos could sometimes unlock to full games, like Worms Reloaded. Now the game is demo again... - Before v2.5.8, I could install updates for some games, like Worms Reloaded. Now not anymore... (Steam Servers are too busy) - I will look for more bugs Edit: Nevermind, I made a mistake. This was possible via smartsteam, NOT greenluma. Maybe you can try to add this in greenluma too?

Steam006 wrote: Royalgamer06 wrote: Steam commands still dont work! (Failed to start Steam Engine) I am not going to fix this. Why not? They are very useful... And steam CLIENT even use them, so I cannot fully use the client. Steam006 wrote: Royalgamer06 wrote: Failed to start Steam Engine"-Error shows up in some occasions What occasions? Steam commands and sometimes when starting game, or starting any other steam client, or when using other steam related things, like "send a message" in steam. (Probably steam command) Steam006 wrote: Royalgamer06 wrote: Before v2.5.8, demos could sometimes unlock to full games, like Worms Reloaded. Now the game is demo again... If so, you have just made my day! Good question. Though I have not tried with this tool, normally with the others, force offline mode still requires you to log in which is a shame (and impossible once Steam's servers are retired). It seems that people are more interested in playing games they didn't pay for than ensuring 100% offline access to the games they already own.

If so, you have just made my day! Not right now, if I have the time I will try to add this to the next version. -- Edit -- Royalgamer06The Steam.exe I made is very simple so it doesn't support any commands at all, all it does it start Steam and load GreenLuma.dll. -- Edit -- Royalgamer06 wrote: I edited the post... It's not server side. Smartsteam still unlocks it! I will look into this then. -- Edit -- Strelet12 wrote: You know, I prefer the old method, just use greenluma.exe
Why was that method removed? Will it be back on the next version? Valve removed the -clientapp parameter from Steam so I can't use it anymore.

Thank you very much for all your work, and with my old pre-fetch idear I was actually able to get HL1+CS1.6+CSS to download just fine again Place this into your steam folder and run it, and you will be able to download / update all the HL1 games + CSS again. http://rghost.net/43911147 (FIXED - upload 3) Latest 2.5.9 launcher as GreenLuma.exe + legit-steam.exe if you miss this (being able to use legit sometimes too) http://rghost.net/43882054I hope / I KNOW this will help alot of people, and thank you for letting me speak my mind.

well, I have tried everything and can't get rid of that error again now . . . damn . . . Would someone who get this working please post their filestructure in steamapps + common / half-life / counter-strike folder? Thank you. I really think this is something for steam006 to be looking at to be honest. EDITED: I really could use some more feedback on this people: able to get HL1+CS1.6+CSS to download just fine again Place this into your steam folder and run it, and you will be able to download / update all the HL1 games + CSS again. http://rghost.net/43911147EDITED: I found the problem my self. . . .
