So do I "Cut and Paste" the GCFs into the steamapps folder, or do I just "Copy and Paste" them.

Thank you for your help VeilSide.
Its all very nice, but this isnt working for me.
There is every time this error message.
I tried with Oracle Virtual Box, but there i get another Error message.
I it possible somebody can upload newest Version from Gmod ?

what's is the version of L4D2? is it 2.0.0.0 or 2.0.4.5??

sorry to complain, but left 4 dead 2's installation takes forever. It moves at a normal speed at first, but gradually slows down. It's now extracting the at about 1 file per second, with the percentage and megabytes installed never moving. I'm 3 hours in and at have been at 59.39 percent for about an hour. Can I just install by extracting the files inside the .sid manually to a Program Files/Valve/Left 4 Dead 2 folder?

Yeah this is common issue and I haven't found a way to fix it due to my lack of knowledge in VB.NET. Good news I made expandable/collapsible control near the extraction window so you can disable it. That should speed things up...

I downloaded TF2 and I installed it today, updated using CFToolbox, and applied RevEmu, like I did for L4D/L4D2/Portal 2 but it crashes to desktop after the Valve intro... Do I have to extract some GCFs or?

Most likely you have to re-prepare TF2 content. Just follow the guide on the first page.
