i uninstalled half life 2 and it won't let me install it again... it just says "launch HL2", instead of Install... I cant launch it because i uninstalled it??

please help

As I said earlier use CFToolbox to update TF2 GCFs.

I wonder how could this happen. Did you interrupt uninstall process? Anyway just delete the following registry entry.
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\HL2"

Thanks for the great games :).

I do have some questions, i downloaded counter-strike: source, the game works fine and the install was great to! But it's version V59 and all the cracked servers (or almost all) are version v61.

I tried updateing CS:s by downloading patches, but they didn't realy work... they just broke the game forcing me to re-install. Then i downloaded Cftoolbox, it works quite slow on my computer, and i can't find the correct GCF's to download ?! if i look to other games i find all the files but not at cs:s.

How can i update the game to v61 ?
Thx in progress, and sorry for my awful english...

i now also tried to use steamup, but it isn't running on my pc :/, when i start it up nothing happens, it's in the right folder...

Hi darkdudefly.

You just have to download the Update... http://forum.planetcss.com/files/file/12-css-update-37/
Than you have newest client, and can play on every cracked Server, if the Server is the Newest Version. ;)

I am downloading now, i just have no idee how you found that so fast O-o. I am searching and searching but i typed "counter-strike source patch V59 to V60" and also once with v60 to v61...

I hope it works :D.

Wel there it goes :( again the same error, it can't find background.vtf in materials\console

thx for help tough but i had this problem to when i did the other updates :/

-> even if i make an other file that ends with .vtf to background01.vtf , it asks to another vtf file O-o

I honestly have no clue on how to use misteamprep..

I've used google a dozen times to find a tutorial on it but I can't.

Where do the GCFs go, and where are the cache files that it's asking for? ugh, wish there was a tutorial for all of this.

Edit: I got it working, lol ^^ I'm an idiot :)

You mean like "background01.vtf" ? Well i got it to at CSS but it's is truely by not updateing the gcf's, patching the game doesn't work. I think that's mainly becaus this is a steam rip that isn't made non-steam-like... Quite weard i know...

Its a very fine Version. Thank install und just setup the update i told you.

No...your wrong O-o the update will only suceed if things are at the right spot...
Caus now i have the setti version to, and gues what, the update works...

I know quite alot about games and that update will never work on the game :/ did you do it yourself to ?

Yes, have it... and all works very fine.
Ill setup a Server downloadet from Steam, crack it, and can play on my newest Server!

I dont know waht you do, but something wrong.

Hello,
client.dll pisses me off! Even after patching it with rev-ReCEGv2 it makes the game crash at the 1st loading screen lol
If I use the one in your installer it works but the updated one doesn't :(
