I don't find it difficult to update. I really don't. |

Sure, I understand, but the majority of people are not as tech illiterate as me and you, thus, an easier solution has to be given to them, which is all the work done for them. If you would give links to download updated gcf's for TF2 for example, then everyone would find it really easy, as all they would have to do is download and replace the gcf. Instead of using tools such as MiSteamPrep, which SOME people find complicated, or more time consuming. I hope you understand why I posted that information VeilSide, I am not trying to say your release is bad and not good, but merely for the sake of the less tech-illiterate. |

@SlasherIT Just updating GCFs isn't enough. Re-preparing game content from updated GCFs is necessary. I guess this is the part where it gets a bit confusing? |

Very good! Thanks! I just have one question: does the SMOD Redux 8 will work fine on Half-Life 2? Sorry for my English. -- Edit -- A small contribution: The solution to the "ERROR" in large red letters in Half-Life 2 is easy. This is caused because of a single file that is used in various levels of the game. The name of this file is "pipecluster003a_small.mdl" and can be found in the file "source models.gcf". For some reason, this file is not "seen" by the game (maybe a small bug of RevEmu?), being necessary to extract it to the folder where the game is installed. To make things easier, I uploaded the file. http://www.mediafire.com/?kwrm4qtokrxnkwi For those who do not know (this error is repeated in other levels that use this model): ![]() ![]() Sorry for my English. |

Hi, VeilSide. I have a small problem, maybe you can help me. The problem is: when I change the language of Half-Life 2 Episode Two for "Portuguese", it does not create the cache files of sound, and I not hear the voices in game. All other sounds are audible, but not the voices. The subtitles are translated into the "Portuguese" normally. This also happens with Portal. Note that problem is not just with your release, I also tried the Godmode's version earlier and was the same problem. Do you know what might be happening? Sorry for my English. Thanks. |

You have to download the ncf files for your language. Check the "Steam Content Sharing" section of the forum and see if Portuguese language is available for your games... |

Thanks for the help, but I found nothing like it in the forum. I just do not understand why the sound cache is not created in HL2 Episode 2 and Portal, as in others (HL2, HL2 Episode 1) everything works perfectly. |

First of all thanks Veilside for all this wonderful releases, gcf base is much better than extracted IMO. Anyway is this bug fixed on the latest revemu? because I intend to share this games with a few friends and I don't want them bothering me with questions. also found this bug on episode 2:
